Well douche5, I’ll take that pink elephant over the vikequeef’s pink elephant of going 3-13 with the 3rd highest payroll in the league plus being one of the most embarrassing stories in pro sports with the lack of ability to resolve the stadium fiasco among all involved parties. Stupid is as stupid does! DAH!

It’s completely absurd that a multi billion dollar organization with multi billionaire owners expect the public in a terrible recession to build their places of employment. The NFL is the most arrogant corporation in the world. No other business entity punishes their customers just because they won’t/ can’t buy enough of their over priced product (blackouts). Then these multibillionaires expect the poor cities to build their workplace or they’ll move. Arrogance!

Fast forward: they get some old guy with the “4″ on his jersey, they have NFL owner after owner with no local ties, the team slides, the roof collapses, and their legislature dawdles. Did I mention they were the worst team in the division last year?

Green Bay: 15-2, adding onto one of the most revered stadiums in sports, a waiting list longer than the actual number of seats available, one year removed from a Super Bowl title and the league’s MVP.

Having moved back I must say: the air is just fine here, sportswise.

1. The Wilfs wanted a place in the boon doc’s that allowed then parking revenue that they do not get now plus enough land for a couple of strip malls which is how they make there money.

2. The Politicians however, under extreme pressure to keep the team in Minneapolis have po pooed this idea.

3. The country where the Wilfs want the stadium have been denied by the legislature, approval to raise taxes, add fee’s, increase gambling and what have you to come up with their share of the money. They’ve presented three plans and all have been rejected.

4. Meanwhile back in Minneapolis they have proposed a new location almost daily and none of them workable yet. The Wilfs would not get the parking revenue but would contribute less money for these locations.

5. The Wilfs haven’t thrown their hats in the air yet because in their mind they will get that 1 billion stadium for a third of the price so they win.
Thus, no reason to talk LA. LA isn’t giving them anything to entice them so thats out.

Did I mention the legislature also has to deal with a huge indian gaming lobby that is saying, no pull tabs, off track gambling, or non indian casinos to raise the money or you will not get re-elected.

Yes this is better than a soap opera so stay tuned.

Did I mention we have a republican legislature and a Democratic governor all vying to say they saved the Vikes from leaving town, please re-elect us.

Minnesota is actually in major debt because it undertaxes rich folks and corporations than you do in taxes.

Yep, they can stay in LA for a few years until they decide like every other team that has been there to leave. LA attracts and then repels teams like no other city.

Maybe because Viking fans do the same thing on Packer articles. That would seem to indicate Minnesota people ALSO have nothing better to do, despite how much they love to brag about how much more hip and awesome their state is. Newsflash: Minnesota and Wisconsin are the same freaking state. The only difference is Wisconsin is the leader in dairy products and Minnesota is the leader in hipsters/arrogance.

According to Minnesota logic, this makes them more cultured, classy and intelligent than the lowly states with their peasant, barbaric NFL football. Does Green Bay even have a Center for Interpretive Dance?

Maybe piss and moan about the politicans making all the money they do with retirement, free health care, etc etc, and not doing a damn thing but bicker and argue amongst themselves…. and then worry about rich people, it you want to be rich then get off your ass and make it. Dont hate the ones who are.

2) Nobody has yet made the case why a 64,000 capacity stadium has to be torn down to be replaced by a 64,000 capacity stadium.

3) The vikings are not that popular in Minnesota. They did not even sell 50,000 season tickets last season. People only see the players when they are going to court.

4) The vikings are hundreds of millions of dollars in debt already and can’t afford the costs of relocation to Los Angeles.

5) Their best move is to relocate where a large stadium already exists and become the first international team. Mexico City or Guadalajara would be perfect for the vikings. Those cities have more football fans than Minneapolis and could sell more tickets. There is a lot more money to be made South of the Border by becoming Mexico’s team.

It makes much more sense than London.
