Getty ImagesSeahawks fullback Michael Robinson joined PFT Live on Wednesday to discuss a wide variety of topics, including his recent birthday breakfast-tossing skydiving adventure, which was videotaped and posted at RealRobReport.com.
He also addressed his future with the Seahawks (he’ll be a free agent on March 13), the status of the Seattle franchise, and his excellent idea for making the Pro Bowl a better game.
The most compelling portion came when he talked about flying from the Pro Bowl practices in Hawaii to Pennsylvania and back again, so that he could speak at Joe Paterno’s memorial service. Robinson’s comments about the experiences and what he remembers most about Coach Paterno are pasted below. The full interview can be seen right here.
Haven’t heard from this guy since his days as Penn State. Knew hes a FB but no idea he was in the probowl. Good for him.
Wow.
A college QB who realized he could be elite at a position other than QB without screaming “racism” winds up in the Pro Bowl?
Refreshing.
I went to the same high school he played at, Varina high
good solid dependable player can do a little bit of everything and an ace on special teams.
Loved watching him at Penn State. He wasn’t the most accurate or prettiest passer, but man could he scramble and make plays with his feet.
should have finished off Kyle Williams in week 16…Niners would’ve had #6
If you go back and watch Leon Washington’s 2 TD returns against San Diego, you’ll see two textbook special-teams blocks by Robinson that set the stage for both of them.
Dude does what he’s asked, generally does it very well, and doesn’t whine. The league needs more players like him.
