They wont beat Green Bay anytime soon and certainly wont win a division anythime soon with the Lions getting better. Nothing against the Bears, just dont think with or without Cutler… Urlacher is overrated… Peppers has a few left in the tank but wont be enough. Bears will be 3rd to 4th best in that division for awhile.

This is just plain nonsense. You know how long as Bears fans we've heard about you so called sports people talk about Urlacher being over rated???? I'm so sick of this. All players that are over rated get picked as the defensive player of the year right????? I mean how many guys can play like him? Didn't the Bears win the division last year even with the wild card Packers winning the SB? Anything can happen. Your telling me the Lions would have finished ahead of the Bears if cutler wouldn't have broke his thumb?? Where do you get these thoughts?? Are you a Packer fan that posts in Bears pages? Let me guess if you are that Matthews is the greatest LB ever. Well here you go, Matthews has not been the defensive player of the year yet and it has to be seen that he even will be.

The awesome mr Matthews had a whopping 41 tackles 2011 to Urlachers 86 at 33 years old, Matthews is 25. Urlacher also has 3 int's which is the same as the younger fast Matthews. In Urlacher's first two years he had 60 or so more tackles in all of Matthews career, tackling is a big part of a LB's job isn't it? Compare the stats before you open your mouth about this. Urlacher also had more tackles and int's than Patrick Willis who is 26 in 2011. I think everyone can agree that Willis and Matthews are among two of the best LB's in football today and Urlacher still competes with these young guys at a high level every single game. The guy is a serious beast and gives it his all every game. He is not over rated, your just a hater and whoever you are a fan would have loved to have had him on your team his whole career.

The Bears off-season won't be that hard to figure out. In random order, besides addressing the Forte situation in some manner (franchise or long term), their main positional concerns are OT, WR (particularly with Knox's situation), CB, and DE.

They need to make a determination at LT. That said, Mike Tice is still around, and he likes J'Marcus Webb. The top OT's will likely be off the board, so it wouldn't surprise anyone if Webb is given another go. He had some decent moments at times, but still struggles in pass pro at times.

I could see them make a push at WR or DE. It might be hard to justify a 2nd big ticket FA at DE, but Mario Williams can't be ruled out. That said, my guess is that they pursue a veteran FA big WR target like Vincent Jackson(or Dwayne Bowe ... I still have doubts that Colston leaves New Orleans but if he does, he'd definitely be an option), and then use either their top pick or 2nd pick on a DE/CB combination.

I'll be fairly surprised if those areas aren't the main focus of the off-season. I mean, it's possible Tice adds a better TE weapon, but that's probably on the backburner. A backup QB is needed, but again, probably backburner. All the other areas are more depth/competition, whereas WR/DE/CB could use a starter.

Silly Redskin fans. Only difference is the Redskins were trying to go from bad to good with free agency. Bears were 7-3 before Jay got hurt so what the bears needs are a few players to fill some holes and they’ll be scary good

I personally think they should try and get wes welker if the pats don't franchise him. I think welker would tear it up with cutler moreso than a guy like colston or vjax on the outside.

Another possibility would be jermichael finley. Great tight end and it would hurt the packers at the same time.

They just need a few offensive playmakers to make them a legitimate contender

They wont beat Green Bay anytime soon and certainly wont win a division anythime soon with the Lions getting better. Nothing against the Bears, just dont think with or without Cutler... Urlacher is overrated... Peppers has a few left in the tank but wont be enough.
If they wouldn't have been so stubborn and cheap last season, they could have gotten some players to fill the holes. Then, maybe when their two star offensive players were injured there might have been enough on the team to get at least two more wins.

Two more wins, and they're in the playoffs instead of the Lions. They would have gotten Cutler and Forte back by that first playoff game.

They likely would have gotten creamed by New Orleans just like Detroit did, but they still could have made a run at it.

Silly Redskin fans. Only difference is the Redskins were trying to go from bad to good with free agency. Bears were 7-3 before Jay got hurt so what the bears needs are a few players to fill some holes and they'll be scary good.

The Bears were pretty cheap in 2011. I hope they do better in 2012. They should have made a play at Brian Waters, Bryant McKinnie, Jared Gaither, or anyone half decent offensive lineman!!!!!!!!
