I’m sure as a cowboys fan you must be enjoying seeing Eli lead his team to two superbowl victories while romo enjoys his great passer ratings. Didn’t know that the game was about higher passer ratings. I thought it was about winning the big game. It’s all about leadership and romo ain’t got any. Ask hatcher.

It’s so funny that you tell me to check out mosleys comments on espn above and then say you don’t care about it. Do have any consistency man?

Love the fact that you put romo in the company of Marino and Peyton. Romo is also ahead of Montana in passer rating. Let’s just say that romo is the greatest then.

A few thoughts about Hatcher’s comments……

1) No argument…..Romo has to step up. NOW. He knows he’s the second-luckiest human being who ever lived outside Ringo Starr, but he has to deliver or it’s time to look at trading up in a draft this year or next.

But I’m sure “Jerruh” doesn’t read this and likely not Ringo. So perhaps this post won’t be banned?

2) When a guy says stuff like this, then HE should be stepping up a little more often.

3) By 2013, or maybe even this year….this will be Sean Lee’s team. Then things will change.

4) Hatcher is right they need a true leader and not some buffoon like Brooking wailing and yelling like a complete doofus on national TV…..

every Cowboys fan knows that Romo is an leader on offence.. but again, because of all the Cowboys hate people are saying that he is not a leader, not clutch, and just sucks… try and watch the games instead of just hate.

and by the way, this defence does not need a leader as much as it needs talent in the DB possitions.

How much more time is needed, Cowboys homer? Vince Young got run out of Tennessee. Brady Quinn got run out of Cleveland. Matt Leinert got run out of Arizona. John Beck got run out (if he was ever in) of Miami. A number of NFL quarterbacks have come and gone since Romo got his first start. Heck, Mark Sanchez is under heavy fire and he advanced his team in the playoffs his first two seasons. Tony Romo would have been run out of town long ago if he played for a New York, Boston or Phily team.

Romo’s a stat machine and the fantasy players love him. His 149 TD’s and 72 INTs rate favorably to Troy Aikman’s 165 TD’s and 141 INT’s. Proof once again that stats don’t mean a damn thing compared to wins, losses and performance at winning time.

As ridiculous as it may sound, I believe old Jerry can be as good a player as he’s been a General Manager. It’s “go time.” Mandelbaum! Mandelbaum! Mandelbaum!

It’s a little disheartening that Keith Brooking hasn’t stepped up like in year’s past.

Ask any Giants player what happens in the locker room when Eli addresses the team, rare as it may happen.

Answer: you hear no one but Eli.

In that regard, Eli is much like Giants owners Wellington and John Mara… not much to say, but when he does speak, everyone listens carefully.

You can laugh all you want. But the way I see it is that Eli has two rings and two super bowl MVPs. That’s two more than romo. You can’t always pass the buck when your team loses. Eli was very instrumental in those wins.

Ever think why the D gave up all the points. I remember the season ending loss against Philly with playoffs at stake. Romo got nothing going.

Tony has faced elimination before…in the majority of those games the defense surrendered more thAn 30 points. If you think Tony is what’s wrong with the cowboys, you might want to log onto espn next time they have a chat with Matt moseley and learn something

It’s all good, they said the same thing about Peyton (who has 6 first round exits on his career)

A QB is a leader of the team (or supposed to be). When it comes to mement of truth romo has not stepped up.

He can’t hide behind the TEAM thing. If he’s a leader there are higher standards than anyone else. Besides romo has had good/decent teams.

A leader of a team is supposed to lead his team into the playoffs. The buck stops with him. After all both romo and Eli faced elimination at the end of regular season. Who came through?

Big Ben has stepped up his play in clutch. I’m not saying he’s awesome but he’s better than romo. So is Eli.

Football is a TEAM sport…no one quarterback has carried the team on his back. Even when they’re defense was terrible (colts/saints) they stepped up and made opportunistic plays…look at the saints this year against the niners and last year against the Seahawks…that doesn’t take anything away from Brees.

If playoff success is what we measure players on, then would you say that Chase Blackburn is a better LB than London Fletcher???

Afterall, Blackburn has 3 playoff wins and a superbowl ring, let’s just ignore the other stuff….
