Word recently emerged that Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow has been working out with UCLA offensive coordinator Noel Mazzone.
And now the same thing is happening there that happened at the media center two weeks ago in Indianapolis before Super Bowl XLVI, where folks blew past men like Joe Montana to get a glimpse of the latest quarterback of a team Montana’s 49ers destroyed in Super Bowl XXIV.
“There’s a little Tebowmania going on here on the UCLA campus,” head coach Jim Mora said Thursday, according to ESPNLosAngeles.com. “There’s a few more girls hanging around the football office and the football field than there typically are.”
It’s the kind of buzz that Mora hopes to create in Westwood, but not specifically the way he hopes to create it. Still, in the cross-town rivalry that USC has dominated over the past decade, it’s a start.
Maybe Trojans coach Lane Kiffin will respond by changing his first name to Lin.
