radrntn, excellent point on D Allen being a defensive coach with plenty of experience managing secondaries. Yeah if anybody knows Routt isn't going to work, it's the new head coach. The Saints secondary he ran in '09 wasn't bursting with talent yet he was able to coach them up well enough that they made the SB-clinching INT against this generations best QB.
In all reality, what we lost was the second man up on our 4 x 100 relay team.

It seems reggie does not care about having the fasest relay team, he cares more about players that can play, rather than players that can run fast.

Also for the comments about the hue jackson, and Raiders not knowing how to use Stanford....keep in mind this is the first move by a new head coach, who was a d-coord, who specialized in the secondary, and his first move was to cut Stanford. I guess he felt if Tebow could pick Routt apart, andybody could. He can't hurt KC anymore then he hurt us...Not so much pass interference, as it was more illegal contact on 3rd and mile plays over and over again that kept giving the opponent first downs..
"I love it when a moron speaks" hence your love for being a faider fan?

Raiders suck, worst franchise and it's not even close. You trolls were horrible to start with, it was just the rest of the division was down yet you still choked. For whatever reason the Bronco's wouldn't play for Orton, SD couldn't get it together, and KC was in meltdown mode with Pioli/Haley. Yet all were within a game of losing to the Steelers.

Your idiot HC trades for a #2 QB, Mcdon'tlikethepadson wusses out every year. What was it? His toe or foot? Or was is dress the wrong color?

If KC doesn't lose Charles, Moeaki, and Berry the go 10-6 and kill the division. But I'm over it, it's okay, I got past this season the second it was over. But us KC fans are okay because KC has a future unlike Choakland.

No draft... This is beyond hillarious,! Not only do you typically not get much out of the top 5 rounds most teams get every year, but it takes 2-3 years for those rookies to actually develop. Welcome to the newest Ricky Williams Saints trade. Cellar Dwellers for a good 3-5 years. And by that time, likely after next year, Palmers gone. And for a 1st and 2nd rounder. You're going to miss the playoffs with him on your team and you gave up so much for that. Total bonehead move by the franchise formally known as crap.

Each team in the west, except for you loser faiders, will be better. Depending on Tebow they will likely stay the same. SD or KC is the division lock next year and with KC playing the last place schedule vs. the 1st place schedule this past year, (something choke fans know nothing about) KC will likely be the winner.

You guys make it too easy...

These Packersaints fans are relentless. It's not Stanford's fault Hue Jackson decided to go mostly zone after week 5 or so. On top of that he had Matt Giordono as his safety help. You do the math.

All this Pass interference commentary is laughable. Its not Routt's fault that Roger Goodell destroyed the game so that you cant touch the receiver. Nnamdi struggled this year, even Revis did because it is so ridiculously unfair to the defensive backs in this league.

Routt will excel where they play man to man and not some multiple zone crap.

And another thing; McKenzie and Dennis Allen are on an ego trip with no GPS.

PASS INTERFERENCE……NUMBER 26,,THE BALL WILL BE PLACED AT THE SPOT OF THE INFRACTION.THE PLAY RESULTS IN A FIRST DOWN…Oh yeah get used to heading that ALOT Chief fan.

Unless your Ed Hochuli

"Pass Interference on the defense number 26, the ball will be spotted at the spot of the infraction. Therefore the ball will be placed at the 24 yard line. Since it is pass interference, it is an automatic first down. Since is it first down, the offense will have the ball 1st and 10 at the 24 yard line. Please place 40 seconds on the play clock. The offense will have 40 seconds to snap the ball, or the offensive team will be charged with a penalty of a 5 yard infraction, unless they chose to use a timeout. If they do chose to call a timeout, they will be without a timeout for the remainder of the half. Since they wouldn't have a timeout out, they would not be able to challenge a play. Unless the umpire upstairs chooses to challenge the play. All scoring plays are no automatically reviewed. Therefore they wouldn't be allowed to challenge a non scoring play."

I love how all Raider fans talk like games against KC are “two automatic wins”. You guys talk every year like you’re going to steamroll the division and win 6-8 games every year. Make the playoffs first and not be wrecks, then trash talk. You won just one more game than we did and we had our best players out with injuries. You’ll be lucky to even have a close game with KC this year.

I love it when a moron speaks, I like to laugh. You beat us because we had Kyle Boller in and speaking of injuries to our starting QB, they were combined with our #1 and #2 WR's, our #1 RB, our #2 CB, #2 DE, etc. You guys blow and have never been worth a dam. Try looking up historical stats on records and playoff appearances and Super Bowl berths and then try running your mouth Einstein. Sheesh! What a jerk :D

Chef fans need to hold up on all the celebrating. Stanford Routt is not a very good CB. Any Raider fan who's actually paid attention the last 5 or so years will tell you that. Our pass defense has been held together with duct tape and spit, even when Asomugha was there. We've been doing it with smoke and mirrors and doing it ineffectively, as our team defense stats will show. I'm not saying Routt was to blame for all of our pass defense troubles but he certainly wasn't the bright spot, the one holding it together or trying to lead the way. He's fast and he doesn't know how to cover WRs in the NFL.

Love the DA faider fans commenting. Coming off a "record" season for penalties, the worst trade in 15 years, and blowing their chance at the playoffs. Of course if I was a fan of a team that didn't have a draft I'd try to get a comment in while I could.

Routt comes from the record holding penalized team, of course he has some PI calls. So really what you trolls are saying is any guy on your team is a DA because based on the record books... It was a Pue jackson group effort to suck away a season where the West was so far down.

Enjoy the cellar because SD, Denver, and KC are only getting better, you know, because they all have a draft. I knew that Al Passing away couldn't be real, he's clearly still running the doomed ship.

Be sure and try to justify Palmer starting over Campbell next year. I'd be mad if my team traded a 1st and a 2nd for a #2 QB too. Suckers!

The first game against The Chiefs, I predict The Raiders go after Routt like a Bronco on a DeAngelo.

Yeah, that way Carson can get an early start on his 20 plus int season. Oh yeah, thanks Raiders for that #1 pick you gave Cincy for your interception prone qb.

only time will tell waht the Chiefs really have in mind for Routt. I can say this, though. If Crennel and the Chiefs think this guy is anything more than a situational nickelback, then they don't know as much defense as they think and they're out of their minds. Speaking of being out of one's mind, that's the biggest problem with Routt. Forgot the fact he's a marginal player who commits a lot of penalties to compensate for the fact he really isn't that good. Routt's a me first type of guy more interested in his own stats (or lack thereof) than a team player. Just watch the post game show after the San Diego game where he said the Raiders had a good defense. In what world did the Raiders (and this is coming from a life long Raider fan) have a good denfese this past season? I'm going to enjoy watching this joker get worked twice a year by the Oakland offense. Good riddance.

Lol all the Raider fans who announced Routt was the second coming of Asmouga are now clamoring and laughing at the Chiefs for picking up Routt for WHAT HE IS WORTH. News flash. Romeo Crennel knows his defense. Unlike Bresnahan, Crennel isn't going to leave Routt on an island. And Routt will have help over the top unlike another overpaid under performing secondary man in Huff.

Chiefs got a slight downgrade in Routt over Carr

Oakland got a practice squad wife beater over Routt

Chiefs win this one.

I agree that he’s overrated, but he always seemed to get game-breaking interceptions against the Chiefs. Hopefully he can do the same to his old team, because intercepting Carson Palmer isn’t exactly rocket science.

I love when former Raiders come to KC and play better than they did in Oakland. Al Davis thought Marcus Allen was done, but he came back and had 5 really good years in KC, and burned the Raiders regularly."

Allen is really the only one that played better. And you can say that about both teams. Harvey Williams, Albert Lewis. Both of them played well, all Allen did was punch it in from one yard. By far his best years were with the Raiders. And that ring he has, yep, it says Raiders, not chiefs.

-------------------------------------------------

REALLY?? Cause the Raiders have sucked for the las 10 out of 12 years so I don't remember anybody saying we were going to "steamroll" our division. And you even proved how stupid you are because our injuries were just as bad, get a clue you loser

Maybe Carr could come on down to Tampa he would be much better than Biggers, Mack, Lewis and Talib, as well as Barber, Barber is too old and I wouldn't be surprised to see him retire this year, finally. Speaking of Talib, where is the mention of his trial? Isn't supposed to take place in March? I think that would be interesting to see what is going on with that. Even if he does get off, I think the Buccs should cut him. I would take a chance on Carr and possibly even Finnegan, if the team is committed to spending a little cheddar and Schiano can get Finnegan and the entire team to be disciplined. I think that is his biggest challenge, that and forcing the Glaziers to spend money! Pipe Dream-Draft Richardson, trade for Osi, get Carr and Finnegan, get Mike Wallace or Vincent Jackson, somehow, one way or another and draft more O-and D-Line depth and secondary depth.
Not sure the best LBs out there in FA, so hopefully land a star in the bottom rounds of draft or pickup a solid role player, who would surely be better than the garbage that was on the field last year.

That is this Buccsfan's Pipe Dream! Hey, one can dream, right? I think if all of those or most of those moves were to happen, Tampa could get to 8-8 next year and battle for the South for 3-5 years, as well as the NFC. Keywords are if and could, because really it will depend on what kind of schemes the new offense and defense roll out and if the team can finally become disciplined and the Glaziers start spending. Wish they would just sell Manchester U or sell the Buccaneers to someone who wants to win!
