While the media probably blew this out of proportion, it was stupid that Ben and Haley took so long to have “the meeting”. But, I am surprised the new coach was not introduced by management to the key player on offense he would have to work with. In my company, new employees are introduced face to face on the first day, especially new high level employees to other high level employees. If this went on this long, quite frankly it is probably more Rooney’s and Tomlin’s fault for not ensuring “the meeting” happened right off the bat. But again, I think the media made too much of this. It takes time to develop a working relationship, as someone already noted about Tomlin and the players when he came in. I have no doubt that Ben and Haley will develop a strong professional working relationship, since their mutual team and personal success depends on each other. They don’t even have to personally like each other, just respect each other at work.

Now that the media don’t have “the meeting” to talk about anymore, please move on.

And I think Raven fans should be spending their time worrying more about why Flacid can’t get them to the Super Bowl, what happens if they don’t sign Rice, etc.
