If Cinci gets an explosive RB, they will really be a team to watch next season. Benson is a marginal starter, but in today’s NFL, there’s not a lot of value in a back with average skills who provides nothing in the passing game. Good luck.

Joe, we all have issues with Mike Brown but this isn’t one of them. He helped Benson resurrect his career, paid him a reasonable contract, and watched as Benson increased his fumbles while decreasing his YPC to well under 4.0. Anyone with sense, including Benson’s agent, knows that the silence form management says it all. What do you want, for Mike Brown to throw him a going away party? Face it Ced, “he’s just not into you”.

Benson is the last and only guy on the team who runs his mouth, complains and is generally never happy…7th most carries in the league with a HORRIBLE ypc avg….oh plus you can count on 1-3 games missed a year due to an arrest. This guys been a bad fit for us the past 2 years and I for one could not be happier we’re giving him the cold shoulder

It seems like he is slowing down and would hit the hole at like half speed sometimes.
It certainly isn’t all on him though. We could use a couple of Guards, especially one that can pull like we used to have with Steinbach. He made Rudi Johnson look better than he was. Benson doesn’t get those kind of holes.
