Last night, we pointed out that the folks at NFL Network are encouraging folks to run the 40-yard dash at work, which Rich Eisen will do for the eighth straight time, in suit and tie, at the 2012 Scouting Combine.
The videos are starting to show up, and we’re starting to wonder when NFLN will eventually wish it had added a “do not attempt this at home . . . or at work” disclaimer in fine print at the bottom of the call to action.
The funniest video we’ve seen so far is funny primarily because the guy who sprints across a parking lot ends up wiping out onto the pavement.
The impact really does sound painful.

Ok – You told me it how it ends.
Still LAUGH OUT LOUD funny.
“Rudy! Rudy! Rudy!…………………………..Ohhh!”.
This guy wants to be your latex salesman.
Vandelay Industries parking lot.
He’s very productive in the work place. If he can play guard or defensive line, the eagles will be sure to draft him in the first.
I didn’t catch the time?
How is this going to look on the HR incident report?
“I didn’t catch the time?”
I’m not sure where the finish line was, but I logged him at 5.8 seconds.

______________
hasn’t made it the full 40 yet.
That is hilarious. Best offseason diversion NFLN has come up with ever, lol.
Oh man I just crapped my pants laughing so hard! He’s swinging his arms like no, no please don’t fall………SKID. Damn son!!!
Cut him some slack he was diving for the end zone!
He could get deep on Eric Smith!
That’s one way to get the hair off your palms… lol
No doubt a union worker
He will be on disability for 3 months now
Now we know why workers’ comp claims are up!
Must be a Steeler fan!Big Dummy!
This is exactly what half of you guys complaining that you’d play for 50k look and run like. Sorry to rain on your fantasy but that’s 50k more than anyone’s willing to pay.
Somebody should have thought of this during the lock out instead of posting all that legal mumbo jumbo every 2 seconds.
sod is softer than pavement
The fall across the finish line could have made him millions more … as we know every tenth of a second can change your draft cred.
He obviously drank a 40 before running his 40
He should have carbo-loaded with a plate of fettucine alfredo before running.
The raiders just offered him a 7 year $57 million contract.
he couldnt crack the 7 sec mark if they spotted him 10 yards and 2 extra legs lol
Why would Mike Golic do that?
Was that Ben Roethlisberger?
this guy can get deep on the phins all day!
That sound is disturbing.

He looks like he did, several times.
I don’t know what makes me laugh more:
Rudy’s run or …
his “teammates” laughing at him after he kiss’s the concrete.
“In Oklahoma City news, a finance manager misunderstood the NFL’s plea for 40 videos… and was killed while running along I-40 with his handycam. That is all”.
My favorite part was the adjacent field where he could have done the run.
