Getty ImagesEarlier this week, the Chiefs signed cornerback Stanford Routt, who had been cut less than two weeks earlier by the Raiders. Today, the Chiefs added cornerback Jacques Reeves, who last played in the NFL in 2009.
After four seasons with the Cowboys, Reeves joined the Texans via free agency. In 2008, he started all 16 games. The following year, a broken leg limited him to 12 games and give starts.
The Texans cut Reeves after the 2010 preseason. He has since not played in the NFL.

Oh, raider fan. You had to cut Routt because you can’t afford him, but yet Brandon Carr is in the budget? Think before you type. This is just a guy they’re kicking the tires on. Not one player in the league has gotten franchised or re-signed, because they can’t. The league calendar doesn’t start for 2 more weeks. Criticizing any team for who they’ve signed or not signed is just stupid and irresponsible.
