Hey Mr. Elway, here’s a little advice to help you keep your job, go out and draft your self a QB that can throw the ball. Teams will have a whole seasons worth of material on Tebow, and they’ll see he’s nothing more than a fullback.

Um… yes. Yes he is. Do you really think Tebow singlehandedly won all those games for the Broncos last year? Really? So the defense deserves no credit? His blockers deserve no credit? His receivers making some amazing catches from his god-awful passes deserve no credit? Luck didn’t play a huge role in the Broncos success last year?

If you honestly believe that Tebow won those games all by himself then you a mentally ill, my friend. But no worries, you’re not alone. Most Tebow fans are sick in the head.

Elway is not an idiot, he won’t come right out and say it but he definitely sees Tebow for what he is: A below average QB. Terrible pocket presence, sloppy footwork, throws a tight spiral once in a blue moon, throws an accurate pass once in a blue moon… I don’t care how confident, upbeat and “what a great leader” he is. If he can’t throw well on a consistent basis he will never last in the NFL. It would be in his best interest for Timmy to switch to FB or TE… or else he will be out of the NFL in a year or two.

Who cares about the QB position right now. Denver obviously needs to fix the defense before anything. Cant win a championship with out a good defense. look at Elways QB stats when Denver won there first Super Bowl. 12 for 22 123 yards and 1 interception and rushed for 17 yards and a touchdown. That is how Tebow wins games. I know Elway had Terrell Davis as a running back. but its easier to find a running back in the 6th round that is good then paying and getting another Elway.

I agree with seanfgifford, why do you think he sidestepped the question? Why should he tell you what and how he wants to deal with his QB situation? Oh right, “just between you and me, tell us all your draft picks and considerations, of FA players and definately your thoughts about how Denver is going to do things next year.” And since we are the press, you can surely trust us sthat we will write everything exactly as you say it. Just ask Silver.

Conspiracy theory:

The Manning and Irsay charade about Peyton leaving is all smoke and mirrors. Colt’s re-sign Peyton at a reduced number. Denver trades up and gives away Herchel Walker quantity draft picks to Indy, and Elway gets to draft the player that everyone has been saying is the best QB prospect since Elway himself. Tebow is quickly converted to H-Back and receiving tight end. Tebow is pleased, as he always is. Irsay restocks the Colts empty cupboards with multiple draft picks, and Colts fans are happy once again as they get to watch Peyton properly retire with the only team he would have ever played for.

Just exactly how did he side-step the question? What did you want him to say? If Denver is targeting a QB somewhere in the draft, do you really think Elway is going to give a hint to who they like on their draft board?

Patience is a virtue…sometimes you just have to wait and see instead of trying to figure everything out in advance.

As a true Bronco fan and not a Tebow fan I could care less how he looks throwing the ball the only thing that matters is if its a win that’s all I don’t care how its won period and any REAL football fan would feel the same way.

Having said that I almost wish the Front Office would trade him cause im sick of hearing about Tebow being hated on by his own team

Ideally, Elway would bring in a veteran backup and use a second day pick on a developmental QB. I know the Tebowites don’t want to hear it, but his likelihood of long-term success is not good. Some franchises with entrenched QBs have used picks in rounds 2-3 on developmental backups (Chargers, Eagles, Patriots, Falcons), so don’t whine if they do it. It would be a smart move.
