The Packers have different plans for a pair of players who have been offensive starters for more than a decade: Chad Clifton appears to be on the way out, while Donald Driver appears to be staying put.

Jason Cole of Yahoo Sports reports that the Packers are likely to cut Clifton and restructure Driver’s contract.

Clifton, who has been with the Packers since 2000, started the first five games of last season, then missed 10 before returning to the starting lineup for Week 17 and the playoff loss to the Giants. At age 35, Clifton isn’t quite the stalwart offensive tackle he once was.

Driver, who has been with the Packers since 1999, played in all 16 games and started 15 for the Packers last season. At age 37 Driver isn’t nearly as important to the Packers’ passing game as he used to be, but he’s already made clear that he’s willing to take a pay cut to stay in Green Bay. It appears that that’s exactly what he’ll do.
