Browns G.M. doing well after surgery

Several of you have pointed out a report that Browns G.M. Tom Heckert has had “serious” surgery, which has kept him from attending the Scouting Combine.  The information comes from WTAM radio, the team’s flagship station in Cleveland.

The Browns are sharing no details about the situation.  “Tom’s personal medical issues are his private affair and not for the club to comment on,” Browns spokesman Neal Gulkis told Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer.  “As we said yesterday, he’s doing fine.”

We’re told that Heckert is indeed doing well, and that he’s not in Indianapolis simply because he’s not yet able to travel.

We wish him a speedy and complete recovery.

It would not be fair at this point to give any credence to the pre frontal lobotomy talk. Pure speculation.

Wish Heckert well. At the same time I’d expect he had some lone time to think about this upcoming draft. Hope he gives these deserving Browns fans a contending team.
    Go Browns!

He had to get the the city of Clevelands foot removed from his arse. The town wants RG3 bad.

I wish him well, but that pic is giving me a ‘Dukes of Hazard’ flashback.

I’m guessing it was eye surgery based on having to watch the browns play all year.

We all know it’s a staph infection. What else could it be in Cleveland?

    Tebow can heal him.

Maybe the only guy in the Browns’ leadership that I have any confidence in to get this team turned around. All the best for a quick recovery.

Oh nos, here comes the staph infection jokes!

Get well soon Tom, it’s gonna get real busy here soon. It sucks you aren’t at the combine but clearly this wasn’t a planned procedure.

I understand trashing a team or a player you don’t like, but trashing someone who just went through a “serious” surgery?

Stay classy and don’t get upset if someone makes fun of you when you go through something similar. After all, you’ll definitely deserve it.
