Three catches, three touchdowns for T.O.

DIRECTV's Sixth Annual Celebrity Beach Bowl - Game Getty Images

After a quiet first quarter in which Allen Wranglers receiver Terrell Owens couldn’t break free from press coverage, the future Hall of Famer has added two touchdowns to his career numbers on two second-quarter catches.

Owens’ first score came on a short pass.  On the next drive, with no defensive back lined up in his face, Owens ran 20 or so yards to the end zone and caught the ball.  He has 31 total receiving yards.

The game is being televised by ESPN3, with Wranglers G.M. Drew Pearson also serving as color commentator.

More importantly, the Allen Wranglers lead the Wichita Wild, 24-17.  But the Wild is/are driving.  Which, when it comes to indoor football, is pretty much always true of whichever team has the ball.

UPDATE 9:10 p.m. ET:  He now has three catches, three touchdowns, and 47 yards.

LOL!!!!!!!! The fix is in, lay off the press coverage. He looked horrible when he had a guy pressing him. As Mick said to Rocky..”come on home son, its over”.

I have been watching the game and I am glad to see him do well. Would be nice if the Rams picked him up.

He’d instantly be the #1 receiver on the Vikings or Bears. If he’s able to keep his mouth shut and continue to perform on the field, he could make for a good signing.

I believe it’s called the Football Doldrums. We’re down to talkin’ the Allen Wranglers, the Witchita Wild, and T.O.
And training camp is a galaxy, far, far, away.

laughed so hard at this!!! haha

I’m a big TO fan. Hope he gets another chance in the league. He’s really mellowed in the last few years, I think he’s been humbled a bit. He was having a great season for the Bengals before the knee injury a couple years ago. I mean, look at his stats – outside of the lost season in Philly and that year with the Bills he’s been over 1,000 yards every year he’s been a starter. The guy is a freakish athlete, and he’s at the age (and obvious monetary needs) that he knows it’s time to put up or shut up. I think he’s got another good year in the league left.

I would take T.O. over Moss any day. The man has heart and ALWAYS gives 110% on the field.

Even in a two bit league like the IFL………….

    =======================

You try playing it “professional keyboarder” – we’ll see how long you’d be able to “lock down”, T.O.

Its professional, because you probably couldnt make the cut.

I mean, I am pretty sure it’s a girl – but she’s in a different uniform (shorts). And I think they all forgot to put on their pads/helmets.

So, seriously, I hope you are kidding when you said he is adding to his career TD totals.

  28. mclovin07 says: Feb 26, 2012 2:53 AM

Is that seriously a chick chasing TO??!!!

Holy cow, when someone said he was broke, I didn’t realize, just how BROKE this dude is!!!
