Well no, the Vikings shouldn’t take a QB. They invested a #1 in Ponder just this past year. He may flop with time, but he may develop into a long term starter. It’s way too early to determine him expendable… specially with the other holes on the team. Vikes target order (in my opinion) should be: 1 OL, 2 secondary, 3 LB, 4 WR. QB and HB are the least of concerns in the draft for the Vikes this year. I ranked WR lower because you can find mid-late round gold at WR much easier than D backs and O tackles (you also gotta do a better job of protecting Ponder so he has time to get the ball out).

the vikings should have zero interest in a qb until o-line, d-secondary, & wr’s are fixed first. there is not a single qb in this league that would be successful behind our swiss cheese o-line with only 1 decent wr & 1 decend te to throw to. if an average qb is running for his life every play with no weapons to throw to and a d that allows 35 points a game, ur not helping ur qb at all.

If someones draft team is unorganized and can not pull the trigger in 10 minutes they deserve to lose that pick…

Even if you were to hand your pick in while the other team was on the clock you can pull it back until it is your turn.

No team is going to trade up to the 3 spot for RG3 prior to the card and the announcement of the second player taking in this draft…

Do the Vikings use #3 on a lineman that can provide a decade or more of protection, or do they trade down and fill more holes with lesser talent? Tough choice.

As a Browns fan, I hope Vikings trade down and the new #3 (Miami?) takes RG III. I don’t want the Browns tempted into taking another “Mike Phipps” until they fill the many holes they still have. Colt hasn’t had a real chance to prove himself, and at worst, he is adequate until the rebuilding is done.

Holmgren & Heckert seem to have the team on course, let’s not lose the focus.
