Ray Edwards was a joke and proved it when he was arguing with Chris Cook on the sidelines his rookie season. The dude is suppose to be veteran (WE SUPPOSE TO BE BROTHAS’) and he show’s that classless act.

It is now obvious that Sidney Rice knew his injuries would manifest into career threateners and that is why he held out the 2010 season. We were on the cusp and he saw garbage like Bernard Berrian getting paid for not even trying so he decided to shot our season down. I hope he knows he let 53 team mates down and a whole state for his selfish reason.

This is one Packers Die Hard that will give the Vikings their credit for not bringing him back.

I just wonder how good Jared Allen could be if he had another stud opposite his end spot on the line. That dude’s production didn’t drop a bit without Fat Williams and Edwards on his line.

I’m glad the Eagles went after Jason Babin and not this guy. You can see this coming from a mile away, and the Play-off game against the Cowboys made him a lot of money because he really looked good but really only cause the Cowboys O-Line had their hands full with the Williams Bros and Allen.

He is an average DE and the Falcons paid him like one, Robison got like 1 million a season less. If he comes back healthy next year and gets like 6-8 sacks it will be worth it. Really to early to tell if it was a bad contract or not.

Edwards was a pain in the ass at Purdue where he was benched for a bad attitude. It also explains why he was not picked until the 4th round by the Vikings. The Viking front office made the right choice in not signing him and will probably get a 4th round compensatory pick for Ray. Suppose the Falcons could get a 4th for him?

I’m a Vikings fan and obviously the last couple of years have been tough but this happens in the NFL, you go through rebuilding phases which suck but are necessary. Letting Edwards and Rice walk makes the front office look pretty damn good. Robison models his game after Jared Allen and is perfectly fine being a complement to him, Edwards truly thought he was better than Jared

Even when 100% healthy the guy on his best day is average. If Abraham leaves they better draft one or two DE’s because this guy ain’t the one.

Ray Edwards is a bit overrated if you really think about it. He got all those sacks in MIN because of Jared Allen and the Williams brothers putting in all the work. Falcons should draft a DE and play the younger guys on their roster and cut Edwards.

Vikings were smart not to pay him what he wanted. His production was a direct result of having 4+ blockers allocated to Jared, Kevin Williams and Pat Williams. Shouldn’t have been paid the amount he got.
