There’s a rumor making the rounds in Indy that the Seahawks and running back Marshawn Lynch are close to getting a long-term deal done.
A source with knowledge of the situation says that’s not the case.
Though the two sides are talking, the breakthrough still hasn’t come. The Seahawks are expected to use the franchise tag on Lynch if the deal isn’t done before March 5.
Lynch, a first-round pick of the Bills in 2007, rushed for a career-high 1,204 yards in 2011, his first full season with the Seahawks.
