Should have left him at his old spot. Now it

How come every time a player becomes available, Eagles fans come out & say how he would be a perfect fit for the Eagles. Haven’t you guys learned anything? You build through the draft, then add pieces. Eagles are starting to sound like the new Redskins, biggest winners of the offseason but can’t/don’t produce in the regular/post season
---------------------------------------------------
Jason Jones had his best seasons under former Tennesse and current Eagles D line coach Jim Washburn... so yes, he would be a good fit. Do some homework before you start bashing people.

Actually, most of the free agents played pretty well last year, including Pro Bowl DE Jason Babin who followed Jim Washburn from Tennesse as Jones probably will. Most of the players that blew their season were drafted... Kurt Coleman, Casey Matthews, Jamar Chaney, Moise Fokou and Nate Allen.

You're forgetting about Asante Samuel & Michael Vick...But you're missing the point. EVERY TIME I read a blog on here about FA's, and Eagle's fan chimes in on how they're a great fit for the Eagle's, or they'll be an Eagle, etc, etc. Whether it's Curtis Lofton, James Jones, Anthony Adams, Brian Dawkins, Stephen Tulloch, Dwayne Bowe, Vincent Jackson, etc, etc......I hope the Eagles do continue to load the team up with FA's. It will be another season of disappointment for all those wonderful Philly fans.

To sicklife1 and nohopeleft--

Last offseason was the first time under Reid that the Eagles went wild in FA. They were poised to do it because they knew when other teams would be struggling with cash flow, they could make a big splash. You need to check out their history under Reid--

2000--that's when they made the first big hit--they signed Jon Runyan--all he did was solidify RT for a decade; Carlos Emmons--all he did was become one of the best LBs in the league; and Brian Mitchell.

01--James Thrash and Shawn Barber were the only notable FAs they signed.

04--They signed the Freak as a FA--TO wasn't a FA--they got him in a trade.

Really, that's been it. I think you'll see the Eagles sign maybe 1 or 2 LBs and that's it. The rest will be draft picks.

The difference between them and the Skins is the Skins tried to win the offseason EVERY YEAR.

He has Eagles written all over him.
They need a second DT, plays great in the Wide-9 inside, and is versatile. Makes perfect sense.
