Funny how good guys can play when they play aside Ray Lewis…. then they have “diminishing” skills. 5 years younger than Ray and all the sudden Scott’s skills are “Diminishing” but Ray is still playing at a high level.

Falcons fans you missing Ed Hartwell? Remember who he is? How about Texans fans with Jaimie Sharper. These guys and Bart all looked like they had more skills than they ever did. Scott’s skills are not Diminishing, as much as his lack of skills is getting exposed.

I can’t help but be angry when I see ESPN’s first take crew debating whether or not “Rex Ryan CHOSE the wrong MLB” Between Ray Lewis and Bart Scott. Let’s get this straight: Ray Lewis NEVER said he might even think about going to the Jets, and even the somewhat more legit Cowboys rumors were greatly exaggerated. I am so done with the Ravens organization being a media stepping stone for where the media really WANTS to see players go. The Jets gambled, as did every aforementioned team, and they lost. Now, let’s all watch Bart Scott try to crawl back to Baltimore, only to hear that we prefer JAMEEL McCLAIN, or fight for a spot on the Chiefs’ roster.

So, if a team had 15+ million they could have both Bart ” can’t wait to go 8-8″ Scott and Santonio “oh captain, my captain ” Holmes.

Talk about a bargain.

Bart Scott is to Jets what Stanford Routt was to the Raiders. Both are not good and get paid too much.

And therein lies the downside of restructuring; if its agreed upon in the off season, the reduction often comes back in a year or two as a “guaranteed” salary or bonus (as in this case) and then it becomes a major pain in the you-know-where. And said team had better pray that the restructuree doesn’t become a bench-sitting, non-factor, as is the case with Scott.
All this restructuring is fine in the short term but eventually the fiddler has to get paid.

Jets look closer to the Bills and Miami than they do the Patriots right now.
