You are contradicting yourself. First you say that how does a great D get run over and give up 85 yards and then you say Cowboys are always in the running due to Jerry’s drafting. So Jerry drafted good players yet they get run over and give up all those yards. So, are they badly coached?

If you read more carefully, I said that they were bad last year. However, they’ve not been bad last 5 years, have they? Yet, only one playoff win and numerous December swoons.

In another post they claim that the talent has been deficient and there’s no leadership issue.

Which one is it?

IMO, the defensive talent this year was poor. However, it’s been pretty good in the last 5 or 6 years. Why haven’t they won much (in playoffs especially) ? The bigger the stakes (read Dec) the smaller they’ve come up.

Obviously another hater who didn’t even watch any of the Cowboys’ games last year. Other than the Lions and Jets games, Romo was spot on. Check out the numbers. If Romo had a defense on the other side of the field like the Ravens, Steelers, or Giants, he’d have his SB ring.

Thats odd, the Skins had the 14th ranked passing attack in the league even w/ the Beck & Grossman combo. Dallas def needs help in the secondary but w/ the league’s switch to a passer friendly league even good corners are gonna get beat alot more than in the past. I think teams are actually better off investing in multiple pass rushers than anything.

I wouldn’t lose a second of sleep if every single draft pick was spent on the defensive side of the ball.

As a lifelong Cowboy fan….spot on. The offense is very talented at Wideout, TE, RB, QB (regardless of what others say, about 26 teams would take Romo as an upgrade). A shut down corner and a headhunter like Ed Reed would make me pretty happy.

I still want one offensive lineman drafted early.

After that you can draft all defense.
