The Holmes trade is NOT the move I would use to brag on Tannenbaum. Not only did Pitt win that one by getting anything at all for him because Holmes is one step from suspension but also the contract the NJY gave a guy who was one step away from suspension has to be one of the worst contracts EVER. The guy has shown himself to be a HORRIBLE teammate and they are hogtied by their contract so that they can’t get rid of him without a huge cap hit. I’d still cut him either way, but I bet they won’t.

Giants fan here, but I will give kid brother credit. Tannenbaum put together a roster that went to two AFC championship games in 2 years. Sure, he has unconventional methods and knows how to manipulate the cap, but you have to respect the body of work. The last time I checked there are plenty of moves to be made. The problem is cohesion and lack of leadership. The inmates run the asylum and it is up to Rex to reign them in. This will be a make or break year given how rocky the Jets run things. I’ll settle in for the ride.

Looks like they might as well keep him. If they cut him they still loose 4.2 million. I love hearing the jets are getting screwed! Makes my day, fins#1 AFC east champs 2012 no matter who our qb is. Worst case scenario were stuck with 6-3 Matt Moore?? Not too bad!

Bart Scott + 5th round pick for a 7th.

This way you get out of Bart’s contract, but obviously you have to give something up to get out of it.

This should work.
