First off Flacco doesn’t want top five money that’s his agent pumping up his value so they get the best possible contract there is. Secondly the Ravens didn’t sign Evans they traded a low draft for him and yes he didn’t work out ah well…the Steelers have a ton of money wrapped up in aging players that they have to keep paying and can’t cut cause it will cost them. Face it they didn’t manage their money well and it’s hurting them right now. The only aging players on the Ravens D is Reed and Lewis and Reed at this point is still better the most Safeties and will benefit from the great DBs we have and Lewis is still a great player with McClain and Ellerbe there as well. Also I have to agree with who ever said Ravens fans have to stop bragging about the sweep this year, but I also have to agree with whoever said at this point the Ravens are simply a better team then the Steelers.

Because the truth of the matter is that the series is incredibly even.

Since 2003, in 9 years of games there have been 20 games played between the Steelers and the Ravens. I picked 2003 just to get the 20 game milestone figuring that would be a fair representation of the matchup.

In those 20 games, the Steelers have won 10 and the Ravens have won 10. The Ravens have swept the Steelers twice and the Steelers have swept the Ravens twice.

I would say that an even split across 20 games in the NFL constitutes an even series and a good rivalry.

So nationalmediacansuckit – how about you suck it. We are on the Steelers level and have the better team at this point in the rivalry. It is obvious that you are either naive, stupid, or don’t know how to use the internet to look things up before you open your mouth and let garbage that is just plain wrong come streaming out. The Steelers manage the cap better than most any team in the NFL. The changing of the guard is occuring in the off season, but in reality most of the guys that will be exiting didn’t contribute a whole lot last year.

We’ll be just fine. Now please go back to concentrating on paying the unibrow like an elite quarterback and getting ready for rice to pitch a fit when he gets franchised. A hold out would be beautiful!

Dude, the only thing more annoying than st1llerz1 is Ravens fans bragging about their 2 wins against the Steelers with Roethlisberger playing in the last 4 years.

Yeah, the Ravens won twice, and they needed a pushoff special to win the second game.

If anything, releasing Carr, Evans, and Foxworth only improves their salary cap. You know all about that cap situation, right? Your team can’t even manage their own books, over leveraging themselves. Your beloved Steelers will be facing “cap hell” for the next 5 years.

Ummmmmm, I’m pretty sure Lardarius Webb will be expected to be one of the starting corners for the Ravens this upcoming year.

He didn’t say Ladarius Webb was going to be cut, he said that Carr would not be the only Ravens cornerback cut (Dominique Foxworth). After stating that WR Lee Evans would be cut, he mentioned that Webb, Smith and Williams would the top three corners for the Ravens. He wrote it kind of funny, but he did not say that Webb would be cut.
