can you imagine if a company like Coca Cola sent bombs and hitmen to Pepsi to take out their manufacturing and researchers? wouldn’t that be seen as illegal? why is this any different? Favre and Warner were the keys to the offenses, so the Saints sent hitmen to take them out. I have zero respect for that team and anybody on it. forever, i will declare an asterisk for that team.

There is no denying the good feeling a defender feels when they knock a player out of the game with a good clean hit. I am not talking about a knee injury but something like ringing the other guy’s bell or knocking the wind out of them with a clean shot to the chest. For a reasonable individual the euphoria of the good hard hit is generally overtaken by concern for the other player. Everyone on the field is at the same risk of injury and putting a bounty on offensive players leads to serious injuries, cheap shots, and overall questions about just what kind of game is being played.

There really is no excuse for any organized system of bounties. Apology….not accepted.

Considering the lawsuits the NFL is coming under from former players and this deal now coming out I must say, if there was ever a “death penalty” handed down at the NFL level it should be now on these guys. They’re lucky I’m not Goodell or I’d ban Greg Williams for life and Payton too [if it's true he was well aware of this happening]. I would then suspend every player [currently on the team or not] that is found guilty of participation in this while I would force the Saints to forfeit all their picks in this April’s draft along with all the odd rounds for next year. This is unacceptable and has no place in the game. Any and all coaches who allowed this to occur need to be gone. This league [as with all other team sport leagues] are absolutely nothing without the players.
