now as for cortland…he’s a good physical corner that plays a press coverage a lot…not seen so much anymore considering all corners wanna be a playmaker…

now he’s also a great community guy…he does give a lot back to the kids and fans of the Titans and the nfl

He was voted to be a leader on the team yet we saw very little leadership on the field. But we DID see some immature actions off the field.

He was offered a contract and turned it down. His choice. I’m glad the Titans held their ground in this matter.

I just wish the Titans had gone a different route with regards to Griffin.

I don’t think he will get what he wants in free agency. Rogers was a similar type of talent last year and had to accept a one year deal with San Francisco. He played well and may be able to turn that into a long term deal this year.

Finnegan is an average cornerback at best who is looking for too much money. If I were an owner in need of a cornerback, I would rather take my chances on Brandon Carr.

He’s a fan favorite here. As I Buccaneers Fan, I pray that we see him go there. Bucs have the money, he wants 10 mil a year… PAY HIM…. C’mon Tampa!

I can see him getting in the neighborhood between $7-8 per year.

The Titans DID offer him a contract but he rejected a it and made it clear that they were VERY far apart on what he is worth.

When you are an average cornerback and your opening request is 10 million a year, you put the writing firmly on the wall that you have very unrealistic expectations and will difficult to deal with.

The Titans weighed the time and effort that it would take to sign you, added in the possibility of missing out on other replacements while they fought with your outlandish expectations, and decided to pass.

Might I suggest new representation heading into free agency. Sounds like you may need it.

You don’t have to make an offer when you know a player isn’t going to accept it. Titans had a price for him and Finny wasn’t going to accept less.

That is what you did Finny. Just say, I wanted more money and don’t try to spin it. We will still respect you. We love what you did with the Titans. But you basically are pricing yourself out of town. They would be more than happy to have you back at what you were making now..but you want to almost triple your salary.

He is actually a CB but no need to nit pick. He is actually a pretty CB yes he can be a db but he is a pretty good competitor who I would love to have on my team.

You DO know that he plays CB right??? And hes actually one of the better man to man guys in the league. Not 10 milly good but to not offer a contract is puzzling. Oh well, come to Carolina bro!
