The guy wondered out loud if anyone got paid for taking him out of the game. I bet plenty of players wonder that. He then said “oh well” – He knows it doesn’t matter in the end.

As for you fools who say that no one touched him etc. – you’re lack of NFL knowledge is showing – better pull up your skirts.

So how much money did Brett Favre get for the crack back block on Eugene Phillips during preseason?? And Jared Allen surely was going for the bounty when he hit Matt Schaub in the knees… Twice… In one game.

Apparently every hit can be traced back to a bounty.

We already saw some of the lawsuits starting with the concussions. Goodell was warned by the lawyers that if he didn’t come down hard on the headhunting that lawsuits would come by current players, and they were right about predicting lawsuits by former players. Goodell won’t change anything unless there’s a threat of lawsuits. I read somewhere that players injured by previous Gregg Williams’ defenses are already contacting lawyers. If Goodell doesn’t end the bounties and penalize Williams and the Saints big time then he’s looking at even more lawsuits.

Bounty aside, that was a hit that had intent to injure. The hit happened far away from the play and Johnson had no good reason block Berry’s knee with his head which is why Berry couldn’t jump out of the way, he was barely expecting it that far away from the plan. It was a legal hit and I doubt a lucrative one but it was certainly a hit intended to injure. It worked.
