If Fred Smoot had spent less time talking about himself and maybe got into the weight room, he could have lasted in the NFL. When 8th graders can outlift an NFL player, you know that guy ain’t staying in the league that long.

This is like a teenager walking in on the middle of a movie. Always know what they’re talking about and being completely off base.

They aren’t talking about that. Former defensive players that were on your Redskins team have come out and said that in private it was conveyed that specifically injuring a player will earn you pocket cash. Specifically Injuring a Player. Williams Told Other Players This To Their Faces.

Smoot, there is Nothing wrong with being a good guy. But don’t assume everyone is a good guy when the people you are defending have come out and very clearly explained to the media that it happened.

Nobody cares about money earned from forcing fumbles or getting interceptions. How could they? Why would the league investigate that? How stupid are you Smoot?

Smoot doesn’t know anything about “bounties” because he was never invited into the pool. You have to be able to play defense and willing to actually hit and tackle someone and the teams Smootie played on knew he dispised contact so why even bother asking him to be in the pool.

I don’t know how far back you people go, but Fred Smoot was and is the most worthless tackler in the entire history of all of football. Fred Smoot was always out of the room when they talked about bounty hunting because he was such a bad tackler. Fred Smoot made Deion Sanders tackling abilities look like Dick Butkus………….Fred wasn’t so great at covering receivers either!!!

Might be true, but as Williams’ skill-set diminished and he could no longer come up with a winning scheme, he had to get more creative in the ways he motivated his players and thus prolong his NFL career.

I’m really hoping he doesn’t miss the entire season with the Rams; his defense weren’t very good with the injury bounties, I can’t wait to see his defense without it.

Holy smokes. Never in a million years would I have guessed Fred Smoot would do the best job defending Williams. I’m sure there were bounties for knocking guys out. But I guarantee there are pots for picks, fumbles, etc in at least half of these franchises locker rooms. To me, a pot for forcing turnovers isn’t bad – but a bounty to knock someone out of the game crosses the line in a huge way. It’s also ridiculous that guys making millions of dollars need a couple thousand dollars more to go out an give their best effort. What a joke.

Look Fred your bounty program at Wash according to you is nothing like the bounty program told by other players telling the truth the was ran at New Orleans.
