As for the “Drunken backwoods fools”, it may be that neither fanbase is truly like that but it is you who is providing that perception for the packer fanbase. So, yes, keep on ranting as I am sure the true Packer fans on here are proud you are speaking for them.

Watch that game again. The Saints were handed a game they did not earn, nor did they win, not even with the terrible turnovers.

Then let’s look at the following year with the Packers winning the Superbowl.

In 2010 the Packers went to the playoffs in the 6th seed at 10-6, over the equally 10-6 Bucs and 10-6 Giants. Problem is, the NFL admitted that year that one of the two games the Packers played against the Vikings, they incorrectly gave the Packers a touchdown and incorrectly took away a touchdown from the Vikings. That was in week 7 of the 2010 season. The result of the game – Min 24, Packers, 28. Now, take away those ADMITTED-BY-THE-NFL-TO-BE-WRONG-SCORES, and you have Minnesota 31, Packers 21. The Packers did rightly beat the Vikings in the next game, but what matters is that actually put the Packers at 9-7 in 2010, BEHIND THE BUCS AND GIANTS!

THE PACKERS NEVER MADE IT TO THE 2010 PLAYOFFS!!!

The point? The 2010 and 2011 Superbowls NEVER HAPPENED.

If the league is going to rightly admit their mistakes, they should act on and CORRECT those mistakes!

Of course this comes from a Vikings point of view. I’m a Vikings fan. Do I think the Vikings should get the Superbowl? No thats rediculous. I DO think that these superbowls should be replayed with the correct teams. Of course that’s not possible. So what SHOULD happen in the NFL, is when the NFL KNOWS they gave the win to the wrong team, they should immediately take it away!

Though, it’s not as though the Vikings are the only team to suffer this kind of terrible, unjustified treatmet.

Face it, this stuff happens in sport. The Saints and Gregg Williams are just the idiots who got caught. No place for it in football, but it’s there.

Seriously, Viking fans have already filled 10,000 lakes worth of tears. Quite giving them another reason to sob all over again. They need their strength to try to get a stadium, which hopefully they can sell out without Clear Channel and the rest of their corporate sponsors buying up all of the tickets at the blackout deadline.

Yes, there were bad/no calls made, but if you look in the history of the NFL, almost EVERY game has bad/no calls. (Maybe some weren’t as blatant). Suffice to say, we (as Vikes fans), cannot use the bad/no calls theory as a way out of why we lost.

Now, as far as Bountygate……..I am sure in the history of the NFL, Gregg Williams (saints team) is not the only coach to have ever used this tactic, he’s just the only one that got caught. I do not endorse this tactic, as to purposely eliminate someone from the game by way of purposely injuring someone is just wrong, not to mention that the players have sued the NFL multiple times for neglegance in protecting players.

I guess my point is that it is time for us Vikes fans to move on, and accept that we lost the game.

I thought that our rivalry was one of respect. I know that there are bozos on both sides that could be called extremist, but overall we respect each other. Please no more whining or LA posts. All they do are make your fan base look like drunken backwoods fools who have Internet access.

1: Allow the cheap shots to get out of hand by not calling any of them.
2: Calling mystery penalties against the Vikings when the Saints drives stalled.
3: Allowing Viking receivers to be held and interfered with deep downfield, never called.

Now that this game is being re-aired, with all of the attention this has brought to the officiating, the NFL’s integrity is at risk.
