Right – because football players *only* get injured this day and age because there are bounties on them. This is especially the case when footage shows that the guy involved (Kimo von Oelhoffen, Palmer’s ex-teammate, coincidentally) came in from a total screwball angle precisely because he ricocheted/was tossed by (if I recall correctly) Eric Steinbach, a Bengals player. So, based on that logic, I suppose we can devise the theory that the Bengals must have put a bounty out on their own guy (i.e., Palmer), and Eric Steinbach got the payoff via Kimo von Oelhoffen. That seems pretty feasible and rational, doesn’t it?

Does Clark know that gregg williams has already admitted to the bounties and apologized?

However, I do think it is refreshing to hear a player speak out about against the idea of a bounty program. It is wrong to purposfully intend to injure someone, it is disrespectfull toward the other players, this in my opinion is what Clark was trying to get accross. No matter if it were true or not its good to hear that he would speak about against something like this in his locker room. Bottom line is that paying someone to hurt or injure another human being on purpose is disgusting and dispicable.

In my opinion there is nothing wrong with this, I agree wtih Clark 100% that bounty programs are wrong and that someone should have spoken up against them. That being said, anyone who participates in the program and then runs to the media to talk about it is low. A person who doesn’t have the {Explative removed} to say something in the locker room should be ashamed of themselves when they go an blwot he whistle to the media. His point was that he would have to snitch because he would have spoken out prior.

We will never know how honest or truthfull his comments are but at least give him credit for sayin the right things.

Did you forget that Ryan Clark wasn’t playing in the Pitt/Dever playoff game?

Ryan Clark is also not aware of where D. Thomas is,where his safety help is,or where the football is when Tebow is throwing.

A few things here.

Clark didn’t play in that game against the Broncos because of the altitude in Denver and his sickle cell trait.

Clark plays Free Safety. Safeties don’t get safety help…they give it.

Lastly…that was probably the most accurate throw I have ever seen Tebow make. Ike got torched in man coverage on that play…nothing to do with the safety.

Now whether that actually makes a difference or not is up course up for discussion. Just becuase he made that distinction doesn’t necessarily mean he did it on purpose and is aware of player-run bounties. I have no idea how you misheard that, it’s a pretty big difference.

All kidding aside, Pitt has a Defense other teams should look up to in how they play D.
