YOU ARE CORRECT…BUT: The big difference is the bounties w/the Saints came from the coaches…and thats a bigtime no-no, that’ll probably cost Payton 4-8 games, and forfeiture of draft picks.

The bounties done by the players…you won’t ever hear about…unless someone is broke, and sells the info.

A week ago, I would have said this is potentially an excellent fit. Brees is a great quarterback and Moss still has skills that would translate well, particularly in the eight home games. But, this is going to be a dysfunctional franchise for the next couple of years with fines, suspensions, losses of draft picks, etc. And, I don’t know that you want a player, like Moss, who is prone to dysfunction at the same time your franchise is experiencing dysfunction.

Moss would work best in a strong and stable environment, like the Patriots, Steelers, Packers, etc., rather than one like the Saints will have over the next couple of seasons.

I hate the Patriots but I still liked Moss. It sucks that they brought back my childhood idol just to release him a couple weeks later. I hate the Taints more than any other team ever, that’s including the Fudgepackers. I think that even if I wasn’t a Vikings fan I would hate the Taints.

I have a feeling he will surprise a lot of people this year and not take this last opportunity for granted. Aside from the Saint bounty issue, which is a shame to the sport, it is a great fit. I would rather see him on my favorite team, but it isn’t going to happen.
