APAdam Caplan of TheSidelineView.com reports that the Seahawks are hosting free agent offensive lineman Frank Omiyale for a visit to their team facility on Monday.
Omiyale played for Seattle offensive line coach Tom Cable when he broke into the league in the mid-2000s. He can play both guard and tackle. The Seahawks would likely view Omiyale as a versatile reserve.
Omiyale was released by the Bears in March 1.

He will be an excellent inexpensive addition for the Seahawks. Especially since they don’t have an investment in a franchise QB.
“He can play both guard and tackle. ”
Definitely up for debate… Unless by play you mean watch as defenders run by him.
“He can play both guard and tackle”. More accurate would be: “He sucks at two positions equally, and if a team needs a guy to suck at center, he will do his best”
Okay Great hope he has a nice field trip to the team facility.
Turnstile. Don’t do it.
Nooooooooooooo.
Someone should call Jay Cutler for a job reference.
The only reason I could see him signing is as insurance in case either Moffitt, Okung or Carpenter don’t return from injury in a timely manner. They already resigned Giacomini.
Actually…please sign him and start him when you play the Bears. Im counting the false start penalties already.
Wow! They’re meeting with the worst offensive lineman from last years Bears’ offenssive line!
I take it the Seahawks didn’t watch the Giants game, huh?
There were times I used to wonder if he even dressed on game day. He was almost invisible on that line.
I lost count how many times he got benched at halftime. (if that!)
This is part of the Onion isn’t it? No way a team that actually saw his work up close and personal over the last few years would want him?
If the Bears are getting rid of offensive linemen, it’s a safe bet that they are hot garbage.
Seahawks are rather adept at finding all sorts of offensive lineman who generally fall quickly into oblivion. Have they ever considered looking into a quarterback?
False start! They won’t hire him.
Have they ever considered looking into a quarterback?
Omiyale can probably “play” quarterback too, just like “he can play both guard and tackle.”
hahahahahahaha
