Interest in Randy Moss heats up

Record-setting wide receiver Randy Moss was retiring after 13 National Football League seasons, his agent said on August 1, 2011. The 34-year-old Moss, who holds the record for the most touchdown catches in an NFL season and the most by a rookie, had considered playing on but decided it was time to call it quits. Free agent Randy Moss is working out for the Saints on Tuesday, but they’re not the only team showing interest in the future Hall of Fame receiver.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on SportsCenter Tuesday morning that Moss will be visiting two more teams next week.

“Randy Moss also has two visits planned right now with unidentified teams,” Schefter said. “One next week, one in the middle of next week.”

And so despite his age (35) and season away from football, a legitimate market is beginning to emerge for Moss’ services.
