Marcus Vick reports to jail

Marcus Vick is in jail.

Vick, the little brother of Michael Vick who played one game for the Miami Dolphins, reported to jail on Sunday after going on the lam for a week. Vick had been sentenced to 10 days in jail for contempt of court over twice failing to show up in court when he was charged with driving on a suspended license. He did not report to jail last week and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Vick was already facing an arrest warrant in another county over a separate issue and will be transferred to that county once he’s done serving his current 10-day sentence.

The other arrest warrant was for Vick’s failure to show up to court in a lawsuit brought by a woman who had a relationship with Vick during his time as Virginia Tech’s quarterback. The woman was an underage girl at that time, and Vick was convicted of contributing to the delinquency of a minor in connection with that relationship.

The Daily Press reported last week that Marcus Vick was initially served papers in that lawsuit at Michael Vick’s 2010 birthday party, the same party where, 90 minutes later, Michael Vick’s former friend and dogfighting co-defendant, Quanis Phillips, was shot.
