I say take Manning and Flynn in free agency, then draft Tannehill and RG3 and bring in Wayne because he is used to Manning, then watch Matt Moore beat them all out so the Dolphins can get back to normal.

My God!! You are as delusional as some of my fellow Raiders fans. The Chiefs are not a great QB away from greatness. Nobody in the AFC West is, especially the last place Chiefs. Manning wouldn’t make it through the season playing in the AFC West, especially in Narrowhead. Also, do you and your fellow fans really think your owner is going to open up the bank vault for this guy?

Cardinal’s are the best bet to win sooner than later…7-2 in our last nine….up and coming D who ended up ranking 9th in the league….Beanie Wells coming into his prime with over a 1,000 yds last season….not to mention offensive weapons like Fitzgerald, Andre Roberts and Early Doucet. If Reggie Wayne follows then we’ll have a deadly offense in 2012. Not to mention hot climate and a Dome! Only prob is our OL…which is our priority in this yrs draft! Cutting Kolb could give us 37.7 mil cap…so we can afford to go after him. Plus coach Whiz will let him mold our offense to his playin style!

Dolphins fans: be careful what you wish for. Comments below assume Manning can return to his prior abilities.

1)Manning played in another offense. Philbin’s offense is the Packers offense. There is lots of passing, but the approach is very different. It’s a bit more “dink and dunk” than down the field.
2)Can your offensive line protect him? Do you need a more mobile QB than Manning in the pocket like a statue?

Having seen Matt Flynn, he’s your best LONG TERM option. The Dolphins are not going to the Super Bowl next year even with Manning. Flynn can lead the team day one. He’s good and ten years from now you will say, “can you believe we almost signed Manning?”

The Texans seem like the team that would be the best fit for Manning. The Texans have a Pro Bowl RB, a Pro Bowl WR, a top D in the league, and a QB in Schaub who will be a free agent after next season. Playing in Houston, Manning is in a dome and he gets to face the Colts twice a year, don’t think he doesn’t want to show Irsay every chance he can that he can still play at a high level. The AFC South is the Texans for the next few seasons with that core.

It would allow the Texans to try and trade Schaub to the Redskins to reunite him with little Shanny. Schaub saw his most success playing in his offense. And the Texans get another draft pick or two. It solves the Skins QB issue and the Texans take that next step.

I don’t like the Browns, but there are not nearly as bad as there record last year indicated. If they could have had any type of offense, they were easily an 8-8 team.”

The Browns had a solid Defense last year, but currently have no discernable weapons on Offense for Peyton to use. Plus, they play in the toughest division in the NFL and I don’t think reports that Manning wants to play in warm weather/dome should be discounted. I would be shocked/floored/flabbergasted if this happened.

This summer will mark 18 months since Manning last threw a serious pass.

He is around 36 years old.

He has had 4 operations on his neck.

On a team built to his liking he is below .500 in the playoffs.

He is one big hit away from a wheelchair.

Anyone who goes after him is NUTS.

Manning can get them to 10-6 which is all that’s needed to get in the playoffs. People laughed at Reggie White when he said he was going to GB to get a Super Bowl ring. Peyton Manning going to Cleveland to get a shot at a championship would seem equally as ridiculous at first, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he pulled it off. No professional athlete would be more loved than the QB who leads the Browns to a Super Bowl title.

Yeah, he’s about to turn 36 and is coming off having his neck fused and missing a year of football. Pats fans are shaking in their boots. Pats have money to spend too this offseason…..after going to yet another Superbowl. They also have potential future starters at QB in Hoyer and Mallet (very talented young player). Peyton may take 1-2 years to get back into form (37-38 years old). Good luck with that!

As a Pats fan – yes, I am terrified of the 35 year old fused neck QB who hasn’t played in a year that your team hasn’t signed yet. I took Brady 1-2 seasons to get back to his normal self after the knee injury. I would think the nerve regeneration would have even more of an effect on Peyton. 1-2 season….37 years old (barring further injury with Miami)…..sure, I’d mortgage the future of my team. That’s why the Pats are always at the top – they make sound business decisions. But yes, we are terrified.

ps – he’s going to go to Arizona so he can play INSIDE!!!
