APLen Pasquarelli of the Sports XChange reports that running back Trent Richardson (knee) and safety Mark Barron (double hernia surgery) will both skip the Alabama Crimson Tide’s Pro Day on Wednesday.
Richardson’s agent, Jimmy Sexton, told Pasquarelli that Richardson should be recovered enough from his pre-Combine knee surgery to run for NFL evaluators in three weeks.
When NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora originally broke the knee surgery news, he reported Richardson would participate in “all on-field testing” at the Pro Day. So either La Canfora was misinformed, or Richardson’s recovery is behind schedule.
“He started running full speed this week,” Sexton said. “He’s close to ready, but it’s not quite there yet. People should have plenty of time to see him and get a good read.”
Like Richardson, Barron is the top-rated player at his position for the 2012 draft. He also missed the Combine.
Barron is expected to work out in late March.

With RB not as valuable as it once was, this is almost a guarantee that Trent slips out of the top 10. RG3 to Cleveland son!
Slide down that board, Mr Richardson. Cincinnati @ 17 would sprint to the podium.
Please let Richardson fall to the Packers!!
Manning is gone from Indy…
Roll Tide!
Richardson to the packers?? I want some of what you are on! Or maybe you are just one of those people who bought stock
Kirkpatrick and Richardson won’t make it to the pro day. Problems started when neither could run fast enough to catch the bus. When the next one came, they couldn’t jump high enough to reach the step and had to have it lowered. Then they weren’t agile enough to get to the door with their gym bags to exit at the proper stop. It was just one thing or another for the boys.
