I know what you’re saying, but the difference is that Manning mania had a solid foundation. He took a dead franchise and made them a perennial contender. And Peyton Manning is a quarterback in every sense of the word. I like Tebow personally and think he’s a good football player. But he’s a long, long way from being a good quarterback. What Indy fans feel for Manning, he earned on the field … not in the fan magazines.

You know the part about a team or team rep contacting the player or players agent, while said player is still under contract.

I mean none of the top or even middling Qb’s went and worked out privately this off season, at least not yet, but they sent Tebow to a camp? Again? Hey, after three years either he has crap for brains and doesn’t get it or doesn’t want to do it any other way but his.

Of course Denver wants Manning and they want him before Kansas City wants him.

Mike, I’ve never really thought of you as a master of understatement. A healthy Peyton is a four-time league MVP to Tebow’s QB-in-training. It’s not even a conversation in a rational universe. But Tebowmaniacs don’t live in a rational universe. These people actually thought their guy belonged in the MVP discussion last season. Over Aaron Rodgers. So far there doesn’t appear to be a cure for Tebowmania. But if Peyton came in and won a championship, it might start to break the spell.

What the Denver fanbase would lose in “Tebowmaniacs” they would gain in “Manningfans”. Not much difference between the two types, sadly. That’s the one thing the Colts fanbase can be glad about today…they lose all the “Manningfans”.

Thats a veteran QB who can come in and push Tebow and come to play if Tebow falters. Tebow is the starter and you can wake up Johnny Unitas and he will be second string. TeBow is manure!

I agree with trading Tebow to the Jags but not for a 3rd unless its more [then] just a 3rd if Manning were to sign with Denver

And I don’t think Tebow is that fragile but when you are promised the starting job two years in a row and then this stuff happens I can understand him getting upset or mad about it.

And [im] not a Tebow lover or hater but if he is going to be a starter in the league he needs to improve and personally I think sitting behind a guy like Manning for a couple [] years would be a good thing[]

Nobody in their right mind goes to Denver willingly. Too freaking cold half the year. No way Manning goes to play in that ice box!

How does being represented by the same agency make it more awkward if the Broncos DON’T sign Manning.

It’s called a conflict of interest because BOTH players are represented by the SAME agent/agency, and BOTH are/would be competing for the same starting job.

So much for the votes of confidence offered to Sanchez and now Tebow.

Even if he doesn’t sign with the Jets or Broncos he’s probably set both QBs development back years, though I guess the fault ultimately lies with the GMs and coaches.

If either Sanchez or Tebow’s egos are that fragile, they won’t ever reach the level of QB play that is necessary to win a title…which means that their teams should start looking for their eventual replacements, Manning or no Manning.
