I’ve always argued that just because someone comes from a poor background and neighborhood, doesn’t mean they automatically have to fall into the criminal lifestyle. Everything begins in the home with at least one loving parent who is able to teach children responsibility, respect, and compassion. Obviously, Mrs. Foster did a wonderful job, and kudos to Arian for expressing the love and respect he feels for her.

His numbers have been astounding. He did not threaten a holdout. He agreed to play under his contract, lived frugally, and now has life changing $. Good for him. Good for the Texans. They could have been scumbags like other teams (i.e. run their star RB into the ground and pay the minimum). But, both sides took the high road and now have this day as a celebration.

I find it amazing how most of these athletes are pretty well spoken despite the neighborhoods and atmospheres they were raised in.

He didn't say anything about his skin. If you grow up in poverty it is highly likely the people you grow up with and the lack of emphasis on education lead to poor language skills. If you want to be all sensitive like some 12 year old school girl, then knock yourself out, but we'll call you on it.
