This is such a sad, sad story. As a Packer fan from Oshkosh, this really hit home for me.

I hope that the Philbin family can find peace in the face of such a horrible tragedy.

Very, very sad.

That whole week was strange around GB. I feel bad for Joe and his whole family, as well as the Packers players who had to try to focus during that time of crisis. Obviously, it did affect them.

Sadly, this is not uncommon in WI where college binge drinking is a major epidemic and colleges in river/lake towns lose a kid or two year in this same manner and have volunteer river patrols pull back from the brink many, many more.
