Getty ImagesESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Falcons worked out free agent linebacker Lofa Tatupu on Friday morning.
Tatupu has been a middle linebacker throughout his NFL career, and Atlanta has a possible hole inside with Curtis Lofton on the brink of unrestricted free agency. Tatupu has been plagued by medical concerns, however, and did not play football last season. It’s hard to imagine that the Falcons would view him as a viable candidate to step right in and start.
Tatupu, 29, has also drawn interest from the Saints since the season ended. Reports linked him to the Bears and Raiders last summer, although Chicago and Oakland have experienced front office overhauls this year.

Is it just the sportstalk app, or is his head really that tiny?
Tatupu worked out for the Saints, but couldn’t agree to terms for his bounty…

This story has been out 49 minutes, there’s one comment, and it was the same comment I was going to make. I guess this isn’t a big story.
Someone sign him!!!!!
There are too many bad linebackers in the NFL!!!!
I’m not kidding!!! Every bad defense will have one thing in common: the need for linebacker improvement!!!!
Tatupu when healthy is vastly superior than that overrated POS Patrick “Worst defensive player in the 2011 playoffs” WiLOLis.
I forgot Lofa still existed. Guy had a few good games and was crowned the next great LB.
His photo looks like the result of Ponch having sex with The Big Ragoo…

Love this.
Find out if he is any good, or just a Loaf ‘a T’poopoo.
Where ever Lofa ends up he will shine if he’s healthy… He is a leader and a motivator. He came to the Hawks and made big hits at crucial times, and got the whole D fired up… He’s a guy you want on your team!
He could be the new Teddy B. in N.E.
