The gloves didn’t help much on that play as Brian Hartline made that catch. In fact, not much helped the Raiders all day as they got blasted by the Fins 34-14.

Yawn.

Let me know when you come back from that 27-0 blanking at the Coliseum back in 2000 - IN the PLAYOFFS.

Dont worry, your due for another smack down when you visit Oak again in 2012.

I thought I knew football and I live here, who dat, who der? Carryover from the Booby Boucher reference in the previous article…

I can wait until Peyton comes to the AFC West and works the Raiders 8 different ways till Sunday (or ‘on Sunday’ in this case). I can’t wait to see and hear Raider fans cry yet another year, oh, let me taste your tears! Oh, the tears of unfathomable sadness!
=========

Yeah, that Giant CHOKE job didnt hurt too much, especially Crabtree's ONE reception coming in the second half.

Yeah, he really, really was a better pick than Darrius Heyward-Bey, were just kicking ourselves for passing over Crabs.

unfathomable sadness, was kidding ROLLED by the Book of Eli in the playoffs.

snnyjcbs says: Mar 9, 2012 6:11 PM

The Raiders Secondary was the weak link last year keeping the Raiders out of the Playoffs which they should have easily made.

Giving up 30 + points to the Bills in less than a half of play. Taking a game that was all but won against Detroit and giving up 20 + points in less than 4 minutes.

And on and on I could go. Routt giving up a near NFL leading 9 TD’s, not to mention the 17 or so penalties many being pass interference giving up huge yards. Add in his burn rate went from a league low of 30 sum % in 2010 to almost 50% in 2011 and the Raiders did not lose much.

Johnson is getting older and was eat alive when he was healthy enough to play last year. Coach Allen game planned against the Raiders last year and at his Press Conference stated the Raiders had huge problems in the secondary.

Who ever they bring in can do no worse and for a whole bunch of less money.

If Allen game planned against the Raiders defense last season than he wasn't doing his job...as he was a Defensive Coordinator last season, and would have only focused his attention on the Raider Offense....

As a Raiders fan I am going to say this..

I loved Chris Johnson.. as a person.

I didn't like him as a player. He just was not good.

With that said though - as it stands right now, the Raiders have the worst secondary in the NFL.

However - I am hoping this means we are picking up two corners in free agency.

I would love to see you go to the coliseum and talk you $h!t instead of hiding behind your computer you lil B! It’s going to be funny to see your over-achievers fortyphagets not see the post season!
-----------------------------------------------------
Now that's the type of message a stereotypical Raider fan would write. They come on every 9er post and spread their illiterate, low wage earning anger all over the place and then want to have a shootout when a 9er fan returns the favor. You have got to develop thicker skin or you will continue to be in and out of the pen. That spider web tattoo on your elbow is very nice though, all the welfare honeys dig it! You're a big deal in your hood bro so good on you.

He was a solid CB, that's it. I liked him on the team, but at 3.5 million it wasn't doable. I do believe we will have a real rough you on defense, but that is going to happen when the organization was run in such a questionable manner, year in year out. I really liked Mr. Davis, but some of these guys were just taking advantage of his desire to win and took the ol'man to the cleaners. Hopefully this is the beginning of good times. Either way, no matter what other teams' fans say, its still better to be a Raider fan than whatever lame team they're fans of. So please enjoy your awesome, redundant logos, hideous color combinations (blue and orange? really?) and weak traditions.

Cue the Raiders fans eager to swing from Reg Mac’s sack saying how horrible CJ is.

The real truth: He’s a solid, capable starter who I would like them to bring back. The guy can play and will certainly be contributing for someone this season, prob as a starter, but $3.5 mil is prob a tad high and a decent rookie or minimum salary guy can provide similar production at a reduced cost.

A team like the Lions would be wise to scoop him up as he’d instantly become their No.1 cb and ultimately, a solid No. 2

stop,,,just stop.Enough with this pathetic love fest with the old raider way.Theres a reason they haven't made the playoffs in about 10 years and are so far over the cap they have to cut and restructure just about every player.Your myopia is showing.

He was and i agree for the most part that if he can come back cheaper I'd love to see him on the Raiders. I'm just pretty sure he isn't a starter anymore.

he was solid for the past few years, gotta give him that.

I said it last year. When we had Nnamdi, we gave the other team half the field to work with. Without Nnamdi, the other teams had the whole field to work with. This cost us atleast 2 games and definitely a home playoff game to say the least.

Autumnwind999 I agree with you almost everytime, but I have to disagree with you on this one. Everyone of our CB's are terrible. CJ would make 2 or 3 great plays after giving up 10 bad ones. I can't stand any CB that can't find the ball and we had a roster full of them. To see Routt, CJ and hopefully a few others gone, is exactly what needs to happen. Our defense was bad from upstairs to the sidelines and on the field. The season starts right now. So far I can't be more happier than the way things are going. By the way, is there any chance in hell we can get Peyton Manning? Yeah I didn't think so either.
