vidae1 says:

Or maybe the Chiefs are legitimately interested in signing Manning to a contract.

Matt Cassel is obviously not the answer, and that team looks very talented on paper. They have some great weapons on offense and a defense that is up and coming.

Why wouldn’t they want to fix their biggest weakness with a future Hall of Fame QB?

Long time Chiefs fans know the answer to this, money.

There are a lot of issues that no one seems to be addressing. The first is PMs agent is Tom Condon. He spent his playing career with the Chiefs and has been known to have a good relationship with the Hunt family. There are some that have proposed that no matter where the Peyton bandwagon lands, the Chiefs have asked to have the opportunity to match. The other issue is the coach. Romeo Crennel is an even tempered players coach along the lines of Tony Dungy or Caldwell. Why would Manning want to go to Miami with rookie coaches, etc. No matter what nobody knows what the deal is until it's done. So hypothesize and speculate until the deal is done.

Rams wouldnt do that, makes no sense. WAS including that 2nd rd pick was a tipping point in deal, why would they trade it away. If that was the case, they would have just asked for CLE for 3 1st, it would be basically the same thing.

I thought Clarky boy coming on TV looked a little desperate and pathetic. The Chiefs are trying to dampen a growing discontent in their fan base given they haven't won a playoff game in 19 years and haven't even been to a Super Bowl since the Vietnam War ended.

It must suck to really want somebody and not have him even give you the time of day for a visit.

So when Romeo Crennel openly talked about Peyton at the combine, it was a smoke-screen designed to drive up the price on the Broncos... even though nobody knew they would be going after Manning at the time?

That’s funny. Somebody in Houston says Denver’s weather is bad. Last time I went to your city I couldn’t wait to get out of there. Humidity, scorching heat, the city stinks, bugs the size of sparrows. And playing football indoors is like sex with condoms: unnatural.

-----------------------------------------------------

And the fact that Manning played in a dome all his years in Indy is lost on you?

And Denver's weather ain't that bad. It's a great place to see the Chargers win. :)

gmen4life33 says:

HOUSTON! Why isnt anyone talking about Houston.

negatives for potential teams:

KC – weather bad
DEN – weather bad, no top 10 WR
MIA – tough division, too many holes on team
ARI – too many holes on team, O Line will kill Peyton
HOUSTON – nothing

That's funny. Somebody in Houston says Denver's weather is bad. Last time I went to your city I couldn't wait to get out of there. Humidity, scorching heat, the city stinks, bugs the size of sparrows. And playing football indoors is like sex with condoms: unnatural.

perfect weather, complete team (were contender with 3rd string QB, top 2 WR, WEAK division (IND, JAC, TEN), knows opposition.

Its perfect. Read this comment and your mind will be made up Peyton lol.

Can't say I agree that Denver as a "Tebow problem". I wish my team had the problem of bringing the team from the brink of a top 5 pick in the draft to making the playoffs in less than a full season. If Denver thinks that's a "problem" then why not just cut the guy so he can go somewhere else and spread his "problem" of motivating all those around him to be better than they are in the interesting of winning games. OR, Denver could actually use the coaching staff it employs to make him a "better" player!?!

yelix says:

Pioli understands that he needs to win now to keep his job. The Haley experiment backfired on him. What better way to win now than get a future Hall of Fame QB, assuming he can still play?

Same goes for Jeff Ireland in Miami he failed with sparano and henne he needs to win now or be fired and Ross has tons of money so manning will be in Miami without a workout and overpaid

I think that1s the best team for Peyton play.

Chiefs is way better then Cardinals (better o-line, secoundary, rushing game, Cardinals). Let's face it, the only thing that makes the Cardinals a better place for Peyton it's Larry Fitzgerals.

And comparing to Dolphins, it's a tough one. Dolhpins sure have better OL, but Chiefs has rushing, secoundary and both have two good rush defesnses.

I think the Chiefs is a underrated spot for Peyton, should be taked more seriously.

There's a better chance to win in KC immediately than in Donkeytown, and the Donks running game and receivers are vastly overrated. The Cardinals and 'Fins have some of the worst offensive line play (and ownership) in the league.
