All this talk an nobody knows if he can even throw a pass with accuracy and velocity as yet. How desperate are all these teams. Irsay knows his condition better than anybody. I don’t think the waiver was about money. The waiver was about coming all the way back and how well will the neck fusions hold up.

Manning will go with the team that he thinks can best give him another shot at the super bowel. It will be as simple as that. But good teams in playoff shape already have a good quarterback. So Manning will be left to decide which of the teams that want him are close enough that he can lift them. That is a tough decision.

I hope the fates are with him but its probably going to be a long shot where ever he goes. He is good but how many trophies does he have, eh?

One would think Peyton is Otto Graham, Johnny Unitas, Joe Monatana and Terry Bradshaw all rolled into on. Hey, I love the guy but isn’t the media chase just a bit overdone for a guy coming off neck surgeries? The media overkill is insane.

I’ve never read such a load of rubbish. All the haters on here need to “go take a hike”. No one has any idea where he wants to go, so don’t try and guess.
All writing theories of why or why not he would go to Denver, Arizona or Miami.
Just wait and see and get on with life, you will know soon enough. He probably is making it up as he goes, and that’s his business and no one else’s.
One place he won’t be going is the Jets, after giving
Sanchez all that money. Hope he plays better than last season!!

I agree that IF these teams were seriously trying to get Manning, they would be his first choice.

The problem is most of those teams are too stupid to go after Manning. They think just because they made the playoffs with their mediocre QBs, that they don’t need an upgrade.

The truth is, most of them made the playoffs DESPITE their QB situation… and an upgrade at QB would definitely make it easier in the future instead of hoping “everything just falls into place” for them again.

The Ravens have unbelievably stated Flacco is their man, and anyone who thinks otherwise is blind(the irony in that statement).

The Jets just extended, though reluctantly, Mark Sanchez.(I think they’d stand a better chance with Jason Campbell or any other random free agent journeyman QB)

The Texans have probably the best current QB of all those teams, and don’t want to ruin a good thing. They just made the playoffs for the first time, and that was with pretty much every single one of their super-stars going down for multiple games with injuries. Mario Williams, Arian Foster, Andre Johnson, Schaub. The list goes on, but those 4 alone… incredible bad luck. I feel Manning is obviously an upgrade, but the Texans should probably be okay without him. Schaub’s a little younger too and already has the chemistry with the team.

Half the reason Peyton would make any team he goes to an immediate contender is because he’s not coming alone. He will be a package deal. It might not be Reggie Wayne… but other free agents will take less to play with this guy. Especially if they are on the offensive side of the ball. Terrell Owens perhaps? You can laugh, but the guy did play pretty well in Cincinnati his last year in the league. And that was with Carson Palmer throwing to him!

Peyton has never had a huge target like a Marcus Colston to throw to. That could be crazy. Vincent Jackson, too… the possibilities are endless. And if Peyton ends up picking his team before free agency starts… his team is the new “dream” destination for all the free agents.

And after Reggie Wayne’s public endorsement of Miami… it’s kind of hard to argue with those that think they will be pulling a Lebron James and will be “taking their talents to South Beach.”

I love how people keep saying he is going to Arizona because of Larry Fitzgerald. Just because the Cards have Larry Fitzgerald that means that Manning is going to sign there? Larry Fitzgerald is the ONLY thing the Cards have.

In Miami he would have Brandon Marshall, Davone Bess, top 3 LT in Jake Long, future Pro Bowl center in Pouncey, overall just a better Oline than the Cards. The Dolphins also have a better run game in Reggie Bush and Daniel Thomas.

So yes the Cards have Larry Fitzgerald but the are 10mil over the salary cap and they don’t have the overall talent Miami has. If it does come down to these two teams, there is no way Manning shuns Miami to go to Arizona.

Yes, I am a Dolphins Fan.. And No, I don’t think Manning is going to sign with us.. What really gets me is all the posting Ladies/Gentlemen that Keep saying.. Miami Sucks or Miami is a Career killer.. Here’s a thought.. Colts has longest record of 12 wins last 7 years… Manning goes out.. They win less than 3 Games.. Miami won 6 without Manning this year.. So, you think with Manning they’d win even less?? Now, I’m not a Mensa candidate but wouldn’t that possible make the Dolphins just as good or better if we did sign Manning?? Miami has had unfortunate FO, and I don’t think him signing would send us to the Bowl game.. I’m just saying, we’re not as bad as people keep posting.. Especially, since we’re in a division that forces at least a 10 win game season.. To even have a chance to make a playoff game.. Hell, if we were in AFC West.. We’d been in the stiffs anothe 5 years due to our record.. Think about it..

The last team Peyton sees could have an advantage? Not so sure that’s true……a lot of sales people will tell you that customers often make up their minds BEFORE they get to the last sales pitch.

Also, you’re making Manning sound like a buyer who doesn’t really know what he’s looking for. That sounds pretty much the opposite of the Peyton Manning we all know. I think he’ll make a solid business decision based on the players, system, ownership and coaches.

These teams reached out to him, not Mannings fault they are looking for replacements at the QB position, Tebow a first round pick; can’t complete a pass! Kolb is a total waste money and draft picks. What do you want Manning to do? Go in there and offer to back them up or help teach them the position! C’mon please thats why Denver has got no shot at em, and for Arizona he’s not going their to cover up the mistakes they have made. These are courtesy visits out of respect for two friends in John Fox and Ken Whisenhunt. He will look at Miami and if he can’t work any thing out with them he replace some shlep QB somewhere else because thats life in the NFL.
