That puts the Titans and the 49′s in the Manning attack. But if Manning really has any brains at all? I would be signing with the 49′s yesterday!!! They have the best chance to getting back to the bowl next year. The Donkeys aint got a chance in hell and the Titans? except for the contract for life the Titans are offering Manning, aint a chance in hell either one of those teams contend anytime soon. Manning aint got alot of time left if hes after a ring!!! Look for the 49′s to sign him real soon if anybody in the Manning camp has a brain their head!!!

the bills 30+ million under the cap.. say they will be active in free agency ..lets hope so.. just don’t spend the money stupidly.. don’t over spend for vince jackson supermario… get fred resigned to that extension he was promised draft a tackle and be smart with the second wideout donald jones is not a starter

Answer:
1. High (expensive) draft picks before rookie salary scale; Bradford 6 years 78 million. Newton 4 years 22 million. Same thing for the past five years.
2. Incredibly bad drafts 2002-2007 that required free agent ($$$) signings, especially in the o-line.
3. 2011; toughest schedule in the NFL (.590)
4. One of the highest “games lost by starters” in 2011. (STL 54, SF 18)
5. Highest “total games lost” by all players in 2011. (10 DBs on injured reserve)
6. OC who refused to taylor offensive scheme to suit the talent level of team.
This is why an average team, that went 7-9 the year before and was favored by many pundits to win the NFC West in 2011, ended up with the second pick inspite of spending most of their cap.

When the Cards cut underachieving tackle Levi Brown they free up almost $15m cap space. That doesn’t get them under, but it certainly gets them close enough that a few other cuts or restructures could get them a fair amount of space. They wouldn’t be flirting with Manning if they didn’t have a plan to free up the space needed to get him.

Wait, forget that last sentence; this is the Bidwells we’re talking about.

Either this list is false or the February 28 list is.

On that list Colts had 12+ million cap space, since then, they cut guys, creating an additional 8 million and signed Mathis, with less than 6 million as 2012 cap number, and now they are supposed to have less, than before.

So the Steelers can’t sign Wallace when they’re $10.5 million under but the Cards can sign Peyton Manning when they’re $16.4 million over. Makes sense.

I find it hard to believe the Texans are not persuing Peyton. With that run game, o-line, and defense it’s really a no brainer.Not to mention the revenge factor with Indy. For anyone who says,”but they have Schaub?” That’s what we call a nickel holding up a dollar. Instant superbowl favorites. I’m not even a fan but Id love to see the other Texas team win before the Joneses. Make it happen already.

Wow, I’d love to see a breakdown on the Cardinals players likely to be cut or restructured. I believe the Raiders were like $30 mil over last week before all those moves they made. Can the Cards to the same? If not, goodbye Mr Manning.

And man do I hate the Broncos but it looks good for them.

Then again, there are a lot of guys that would probably play for cheap to come with Manning.

I’m shocked that the Raiders aren’t over the cap. With all the very expensive signing they made (Routt, Seymour, Palmer, and Wimbley) you think they be over $25 Million over the cap.
