I was happy to see the giants pass on giving Boss and Steve Smith the contracts they got — great moves by Jerry & co.

This time around I’d like to see Boss and Smith back, give me Tolbert from that other article to replace Brandon Jacobs and a wild card move for Osi.

WOW. I did not see that coming.

However, Boss did less than I hoped last year. I understand injuries got him, but still. Brandon Myers is underrated, though. He isn’t terribly fast, but he has good hands and is a great blocker.

Also, remember that the Raiders drafted David Ausberry last year and plan on him as a TE. Maybe this will help them land a solid CB.

The Raiders have some solid WRs now. DHB had over 900 yards and Jacoby Ford & Denarius Moore are stars in the making. Manase Tonga and Marcel Reece can block. The offense showed last year that the TE doesn’t have to be the #1 receiver in Oakland anymore.

I’ve said this on Raiders posts before but it’s worth repeating: David Paulson from Oregon would be a good fit for the Raiders offense. He was a damn good blocker for Oregon’s run heavy offense, he has really good hands and he knows how to find openings in zones. Check out his YouTube highlights, they’re impressive.

Hmmm, definately didnt see that coming either. Boss didnt do much for Oak tho. Wonder if they REALLY wanna keep Wimbley or if Mak is trying to free space to go about FA while holding onto him as along as he can? Dont they still have a week or so till his bonus date?

The Raiders are continuing their cuts I think this is a good thing, this looks positive for their chances in the future too. Should be fun watching them in FA this year.

Boss I am sure will be fine this year, wherever he goes. Kinda nice having that 2mil I’m sure as well, should make his choice of teams a little better needing a smaller contract this year.

Mckenzie released Boss , because he can find better / younger/ cheaper quality tight ends. IE Finley, Quarless, Crabtree. This was a good move, we already have some youth at the position. Boss was inconsistant and disapeared at times, not all his fault. My only question is, I wonder if they tried to re-negotiate his deal and he declined ?

The only standout play Boss had was that fake punt and Td catch against the Browns.Other than that he really didn’t much for them.
