Kevin Acee of the Union-Tribune San Diego reports that the Chargers “reached out” Tuesday to free agent wide receivers Laurent Robinson and Robert Meachem, in an effort to fill the role vacated by likely new Bucs wideout Vincent Jackson.

Meachem has also drawn interest from the Rams and Bills. He’s currently in Buffalo for a free agent visit.

Robinson, who spent 2011 training camp with the Chargers, is scheduled to visit the Jaguars. Though San Diego cut Robinson last summer, Chargers coach Norv Turner reportedly “loves his talent.”

The Chargers have only veteran deep threat Malcom Floyd and 2011 third-round pick Vincent Brown under contract at the position, currently. Richard Goodman will be back, as well, but he’s strictly a special teamer.
