Getty ImagesDuring the Scouting Combine, a report emerged that the Packers were talking to Texans center Chris Myers.
Four hours into free agency, the Packers aren’t talking to Myers, yet.
Per a league source, Myer is talking to the Texans and Titans.
The intra-division squabble raises the stakes for the Texans, who would surely rather lose Myers to a team in the NFC North than to a team Houston plays twice per year.
The Titans are looking for an upgrade over Eugene Amano, an eight-year veteran who started every game last year. He has been the starting center for the past four seasons.
Myers has said he wants to stay with the Texans, but he planned to test the market.

Chris Myers is going to want to cash in to a place who pays him the most.
Avoid the Packers. TN and TX are better places to live for a rich man.
he wants nick mangold money
And no one’s beat Scott Wells’ door down yet either.
Have a feeling Scott’s getting a bit of an economic education as it relates to his services.
Wouldn’t be surprised for the Packers to end up keeping him.
Spydti,
Wrong, your money will go a lot further in a small town like Green Bay.
Thanks for the update on who he isn’t talking to.
Actually…Wells already found a new team. The financial details are being settled and will be announced shortly. Hopefully Green Bay can get Myers into town.
so wait…all that tampering for nothing?

Yeah – saw that rumor too but FA’s been open 5 hours already with much more complicated deals already done (VJ in Tampa). Sounds more like a team likes Wells, Wells likes them but once it came time to put numbers to paper – Wells is finding out just how much he’s liked.
Until it happens, it didn’t happen.
About the Cincinnati Bengals, they need a center. Mike Brown, reach into your wallet, stop being cheap. Show the fans you’re serious.
Texans!! Re-sign this guy NOW!!
