Getty ImagesThe Indianapolis Star reports that the Colts are rekindling the idea of re-signing free agent wide receiver Reggie Wayne, and were in contract talks as of Tuesday evening.
The receiver market has thinned out quickly. Vincent Jackson, Stevie Johnson, Marques Colston, Pierre Garcon, Josh Morgan, Randy Moss, and Harry Douglas have signed contracts. Some reports suggest Eddie Royal and Robert Meachem have also picked new homes.
Dwayne Bowe, DeSean Jackson, and Wes Welker were franchise tagged.
Wayne doesn’t seem to be generating a whole lot of interest, so perhaps the Colts are hoping to re-sign him on the cheap.
The Star also reports that the Colts are in conversations with free agent defensive end Cory Redding.

Bring him back please..warm bodies needed(plus he is pretty good)
& They are talking Peyton Manning into coming back too… no, not really. Reggie Wayne is probably gone. Considering all of his buddies are gone as well.
Can someone let the Patriots know that free agency has started?
There in a complete rebuild mode, I’m not sure why Reggie wouldn’t want to try for another Super Bowl.
Makes no sense for either side. Wayne isnt young and this team isnt going to compete for a while. Id be stunned if Wayne doesnt follow Manning if he goes to Miami or Denver
Move on Reggie
It would be nice to get Reggie back at a discounted rate…Luck is going to need someone to throw to!

March 13th, 2012: the day I officially questioned my ability to continue being a dolphins fan
Luck could use a reliable Vet. If the price is right, Colts fans would gladly like to see Wayne remain in Indy.
And just like that, the Fins are left with no WR, and no QB is on the horizon.
