APThe Atlanta Falcons announced Tuesday night that they have re-signed backup quarterback Chris Redman, and wide receiver Harry Douglas.
FOX Sports’ Alex Marvez reports that Redman’s deal is for one year, while Douglas’ is good for four seasons.
Redman is going on age 35, but has a firm grasp on the Atlanta offense. The Falcons aren’t ready to turn clipboard-toting duties over to John Parker Wilson just yet.
Douglas is 27. Though he’s flashed impressive run-after-skills in the preseason, Douglas has made a minimal impact in real games. Usually used as the Falcons’ slot receiver, Douglas has yet to post 40 receptions in a season. He still figures to return as Atlanta’s No. 3 wideout behind Julio Jones and Roddy White.
Neither of the above players cracked PFT’s Hot 100.

The rest of the world collectively yawns.
I’m going to assume that PFT’s Hot 100 is going to be included in literally every single post about someone signing.
not a falcon fan but they gotta find a way to get douglas the rock
35?? Where has the time gone?
Don’t be surprised to see Douglas getting more targets this season. He was good at Louisville and he’s shown flashes of what he can do. But since rebounding from an acl tear, he’s shown lots of improvement. RISE UP FALCONS!
That’s the best Atlanta can sign? Really?
I’m excited we kept Douglas. Hopefully the new OC will help find a way to utilize him.
that’s cool and all, but matt ryan is gonna die if they don’t sign an OT, and they don’t have anyone to rush the opposing passer.
Nice to see at least one of the Brady 6 is still in the league.
The biggest addition the Falcons have made this offseason is Mike Nolan at D-coordinator.
