NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora reports that free agent tight end John Carlson is scheduled to visit the Kansas City Chiefs.

Chiefs starting tight end Tony Moeaki is recovering from a torn ACL.

Carlson has been an injury-prone disappointment since the Seahawks drafted him with the 38th overall pick in 2008. He would likely serve as Moeaki’s backup in K.C. while playing in two-tight end sets.

If this is the best free agent we can get to KC then Scott Pioli needs to get the hell out of Kansas City.

So does having 2 injury prone tight ends equal 1 healthy one? Look out free agency, here comes the Chiefs.

    16 games played in 2008.
    16 played in 2009.
    15 played in 2010.
    IR in 2011.

So any player that goes on IR for a season is injury prone?

    couldn’t agree more beingnickb…

are you kidding me? the comment above clearly proves non-injury prone and HE LED THE HAWKS IN RECIEVING HIS ROOKIE YEAR. If you have anymore questions about his productivity. watch his ‘fake falldown’ touchdown against the Aint’s in last years playoff win.
