As a Bears fan, this is such a relief.

I still remember when both Cutler and Marshall were talking about it on Twitter, but I knew that the process of getting them back together is so much more complicated than some random tweets.

Major props to GM Emery.

By the way, he's done WAY more than getting Marshall.

He relived Tim Ruskell of his duties. I loved that move. Angelo brought him in for extra cancer. He got Jeremy Bates, Cutler's old QB coach in Denver, he is having a great relationship with Lovie.

I'm also sick of people talking about him signing only backups and depth so far during free agency.

The Bears were 7-3 last season before all the injuries occurred. We missed out on the playoffs last season due to lack of depth.

Guess what...Phil Emery is taking care of that too.

I'm not going to grade him on this years NFL Draft, because he said that he hasn't installed his system of scouts and selecting players for this season, but will start next season.

So far, gets two thumbs up.

Well said madmax80, well said. As far as being MVP of the 2012 Pro Bowl everybody knows that game was a joke. If it were a real game and defense was actually being played he would have dropped 3 of the 4 TD’s. Lastly by trading him we cleared around $10,000,000 or more in cap room so that we can sign some playmates for PM. Go Fins!

----------------------------------------------------

Try about 5 million in cap room instead being cleared. Now what exactly are the Dolphins going to do with that you ask? Absolutely nothing.

I don't know what the Dolphins are doing. You trade your best offensive player possibly to please a 36 year old quarterback with a bum neck? Here is Miami's offense right now Matt Moore(not going to be much better than last year which was average at best) Reggie Bush(nice story only a decent rb) Anthony Fasano, Davone Bess, Brian Hartline, Clyde Gates, Marlon Moore. Seriously even if Miami lands Flynn(They are not getting Manning) they are at best 3-13 next year. I think Flynn is a downgrade from Matt Moore which is not a compliment Matt Moore is not that good of a player despite what some Dolphin fans think. He was a turnover machine and takes too many sacks most of them were from holding the ball too long. I'm a fan for life but 2 3rd round picks to me is as close to nothing as they could have gotten. It's not trading Marshall that I hate, what I hate is the compensation. A second round pick and a 4th rounder would have been a lot better.

Congratulations bear fans.

You just acquired a great player in marshall.

Last year he caught more assault and battery charges than touchdown passes.

In addition, marshall has been diagnosed with "Borderline Personality Disorder." You'll need to hire a full time shrink and a handful of burly orderlies.

Like most dolphin fans after hearing this news I froze in time for about five minutes. Now that my brain has thawed this move really isn't the end of Phin exsistence. Marshall is hands down one of the most talented in the game today. But its hard for him to keep his head in the game. Some of you say he is the best thing to happen to us. If our offense does better this year we will kno why.

Fins gave up 2 second round picks for him and got back 2 third round picks.

No worries. Jay will throw 95% of his passes to Marshall, regardless of whether he's open or not. He's like Brett Favre. He locks in on only one receiver when he has no confidence in anyone else.

Either way, good move by Chicago. I've been preaching forever that you guys need to get a receiver, and you finally did it. Too bad your QB is still a tool.

I am a Dolphin Fan, have been since 1969. I am not pissed. I have faith that the powers that be will make the right decisions for the good of the Franchise. If they get Peyton Manning, which I think is going to happen as I think that's the only reason they traded Brandon Marshall that will be great. If they don't get PM that won't be so good but I still will not be pissed. My life does not revolve around being a Dolphins Fan. I am not defined by that. The Dolphins being relevant again would be great but me being relevant is far more important in the grand scheme of life. Go Fins.

The Bears get had a WR with off field issues, and now they got another one, BUT I do need to give the Bears credit, I have been giving them grief for not addressing the situation of WR and they finall did. So congrats!

I guess they don't mind trading all those draft, because they don't know how to get quality players and develop them.

Wow!! Remember Miami fans blowing up PFT comments sections a few seasons ago when Miami signed Marshall:
"he is a BEAST!"
"Super Bowl here we come!!!"
How did that work out for you??

hehehe, this is almost as funny.

You might want to make sure Peyton has a helluva great O line to protect him.

I just have a feeling this isn't going to end well.

Yep....and this year's Miss America came from Cheddarland too...right up the road. I'm sure you're sitting pretty with the dunce bar rag you've landed.

Now get back to your fatty with the tramp stamp that has doubled in size since '08, and her 2 kids (maybe yours..or not) and your double wide.

Bears could have Jerry Rice in his prime. Until Cutler can win a big game that matters without going color blind, the O-line can protect him and create running lanes, and that aging defense can improve, Bears aren't winning any division...unless they jump to the AFC overnight.

Let's see, Chicago White Sox got rid of Ozzie Nutcase and his Nutty Sons - went to Miami.

Chicago Cubs got rid of Crazy Zambrano - went to Miami.

Chicago Bears got Brandon Marshall from the Fins in a steal.

Miami got Mark Buehrle from Chicago.

I'd say Chicago is batting 3 for 4 vs Miami.

Outside of Matt Forte, who was the last position player the Bears have developed? Curtis Conway?

Greg Olsen...who I still say was a mistake to let go of in CHI...and I'm a Pack fan.

This is a great move for CHI, but don't forget that the second Moss signed with the Pats they were guaranteeing rings galore.

In all honesty, until CHI gets better and deeper on O-line, you can have every good looking FA out there and still not seal the deal...see the '11 Eagles team.
