Jags re-up veteran punter Nick Harris

Tania Ganguli of the Florida Times Union reports that the Jaguars have re-signed punter Nick Harris.

Harris, 33, averaged 42.7 yards per punt in 2011, and will compete with reserve/futures signee Spencer Lanning for the Jaguars’ punting job in 2012.

Harris was the Lions’ punter from 2003 through 2010. He’s reeled off 876 career NFL punts, so experience won’t be an issue.
